I've been waiting for this. Had no idea GOG carried them.

I've always found these games to be overwhelming. I mean weather reports, logistics congestion down to the hex and managing all that. Eisenhower had people managing individual parts of the war and reporting to him, he couldn't do everything.

I notice it says it has AI help but how much does it help?
Artificial Intelligence

AI manages not only tactical and operational decisions, but also strategic decisions involving different invasion locations and strategies
AI can be used to assist the player in creation of Air Force Directives based on player selection of target priorities
Guess I'm just not a grognard but these games do look fun if you can cut through all the layers of detailed info.

Personally I can just ignore a lot of what's going on. Weather is what it is and it really doesn't affect my plans too much. Supply: Am I in supply or not. Things like this. Other info doesn't really matter like how my jeeps were destroyed in battle.
Now I haven't really got into the War in the East yet but from the videos I've seen I should be able to handle it.
The thing that has kept me from buying it until now is the size of the graphics on my laptop. At this price I can take a chance.

I may get war in the west, at that price why not try it. Seems it is more polished game than war in the east from what I've read. Due to taking what was wrong/difficult in East and fixing it in West.

He did War Between the States. North vs. South was already taken.
