Tales of the Walking Dead (AMC)

Post by Lassr »

That was the worst piece of crap show I have watched in a while. Good God that sucked. And that is the episode that is supposed to get you hooked?

They need to create a sitcom out of the franchise now.

I haven't watched any WD in a long time but Parker Posey is in the promo. Are you telling me this somehow fails despite Parker Posey?

Terry crews' acting was the worse. The story was laughable. Maybe it was a sitcom...

After Fear and that horrible one that came after it with the kids I skipped Tales entirely. Looks like I made a smart choice.

They're just so formulaic at this point. First third of season: new bad group introduced. Second part: bad group leader twirls mustache and ties people to train tracks. Last part of season: Our heroes rise up and kill them all/escape them.

I slept thru most of the first (Terry Crews) one. So I give it Two Snores Up! Looking forward to checking out the Parker Posey ep.

Maybe Robot will show up to help her out...I mean this is so bad, why not.

I don't have much hope, especially after seeing comments on people who have already seen episode 2.

I watched the Parker ep last night. I didn’t totally fall asleep but I did drift off at the very end. It was mildly entertaining if you like hearing a couple of women screeching at each other. I will give them points for at least doing something different and giving a unique view of the beginning of the spread.
Spoiler:
So they do a weird sci-fi “reset” kind of thing which I’m not exactly sure how we’re supposed to interpret. I guess I really don’t know or care how it fits in to the main universe, but it was odd to go this route. I guess it was just meant to have some fun and do something a bit different.

Ep 3 is the Alpha (“Dee”) continuing origin story. It was OK aside from young Lydia being so annoying I wish older Lydia would come back in time and kill her.

While I enjoyed watching Samantha Morton get to reprise her role, I don’t think this story really added much to the overall lore/universe. I thought they covered her origin story pretty well in the original series already, this just felt like an unnecessary addendum.

If you’re a huge fan of Morton’s Alpha, I guess it’s worth the watch. Otherwise I’d say skip it.
