The idea of Kevin Bacon being chased by Drax is exactly what I need.

Nothing with Drax can be anywhere near as bad as the SWCS.

Re: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
It was actually the Star Wars HOLIDAY Special. It was for Life Day. You know, that holiday they made up so that they could appeal to non Christians as well and thus make a butt ton of more money by making a completely nonsensical special that featured a really creepy Harvey Korman segment that still haunts me to this day....

Life Day seems like a pretty ominous holiday anyway. Does that make the other 364 Death Days?hepcat wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 1:00 pm It was actually the Star Wars HOLIDAY Special. I was a kid so that show was fine when it came out..not great but fine. More Star Wars then was cool. But even as a kid I couldn't understand why Maude was in as a bartender and singing.

Re: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Premiered today.
Watched it and enjoyed it. Really only a couple of laugh out loud moments but it was pretty cute and about what you would expect for a show of this nature.
Groot...well, they didn't spend much of the budget on Groot this time around. He looked terrible. Most of the time it looks like it was just a guy in a rubber suit which I'm sure was actually the case as only a few shots seemed to incorporate any kind of CGI.

Totally watching this. It seems absurd. Perfect for a Christmas Special!

The first two episodes of Andor aired on ABC earlier this week. It wouldn't surprise me if this ends up airing on ABC next month, closer to Xmas.

Not having any way to watch it is certainly going to make it difficult to watch it, yes.
I'm out of my depth here; I don't know what else to suggest, sorry.

My wife and I really enjoyed it. She laughed throughout the show, and the original Christmas songs have been stuck in my head all day.

Re: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Something nags me about the Guardians every now and then and just now its led to a 2nd question. So lets see.
1. Where are the humans from if not Earth? No oen seems to visit Earth except the guardians..what 3 times? And the Ravagers once. So where are all the humans from?
2. And that brought me to 2.....why does no one visit Earth? The guardians and Ravagers have been and know of it...so shouldn't everyone know of Earth? Why does no one go?

Re: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
There are many numerous examples in the MCU of aliens visiting Earth. I am sure plenty come who aren't hellbound on invading Earth or causing a commotion. But of course, there is little point in allocating time in movies and TV on them if they aren't relevant to the plot.
