Wrapped this up after bouncing around with some of the newly purchased Steam Autumn Sale games.

I quite enjoyed it but recognize the cons - which I can't figure out how to state without posting spoilers. That said, the positives (intriguing mystery, a time period right up my alley, a well-considered ending) outweighed, imo.

I suppose that the game is really a visual novel with choices matter decision points.

I picked this up after seeing it on some best-of-2022 lists. I'm through the first chapter now, and very happy with my purchase. It's beautiful and creative, and a visual novel is just about all my brain can handle right now, since my real life is a little nuts.

Definitely not a game for everyone, but the historical quirkiness is right up my alley.

Just wrapped up the second act. The ending of that act... oof. That was intense, which is not what one expects from 2D woodblock print art.

On to act three.
