Purdy looked good, but a huge part of this game was the fins being down three starters on the OL. They had zero chance against Bosa and Co.

It's funny, this season I've often felt a bit like I'm taking crazy pills, as people have consistently been complaining about Mac Jones while seemingly forgetting that Matt Patricia is (for no explainable reason) making the offensive playcalls. Thankfully Patricia's been finally taking some heat in the media. Hoping he gets fired at some point before next season.
good! Glad niners did get him. Just keep Purdy healthy and protected, Jimmy can come back at the Division playoffs if we make it that far and take over.
Garoppolo has a chance to return after a seven- or eight-week span, per Schefter. That would put him on track to potentially suit up again for San Francisco in the playoffs. ...
...The ninth-year passer avoiding a Lisfranc injury sets the table for a potential January re-emergence. While the wild-card round will occur before Garoppolo’s return window opens, the divisional round (Jan. 22-23) could feature a Garoppolo subplot.

Jets at Bills

Texans at Cowboys... (In Vegas, if you want to bet on the Texans, you could win $1300 on a $100 bet right now) Chiefs at Broncos
Panthers at Seahawks
Bucs at 49ers... I think Brady will be pummeled by the 49ers defense.
Dolphins at Charges... my 'upset' of the week Patriots at Cardinals... this will be close
Araiza released a statement through his agency that read, "I am grateful that the District Attorney and the San Diego Police Department have discovered all the facts and found no criminal wrongdoing. I am excited to continue my NFL career."
Leonard's name was removed from the SDSU roster after the lawsuit was filed, and Ewaliko was not on the roster when training camp began.
"I am never surprised when a prosecutor does not file sexual assault charges when the victim was intoxicated," the plaintiff's attorney, Dan Gilleon, said in a statement. "It's a very rare case where the criminal justice system achieves anything satisfactory for the victim in a sexual assault.
"The lawsuit we filed is not in the criminal justice system. ... It is only in the civil system that a victim of sexual assault can achieve justice, and we plan to do just that."
Gilleon said the suit is in the beginning stages.

I don’t think it’s that surprising that no charges were filed (there are some alleged facts in the case that made getting a conviction difficult).
I immediately saw some Bills fans ask if they would resign him. Uh, no. No way do you take that PR hit for a punter. No way. You hate to see an accusation destroy a career if he didn’t do it, but that’s an Araiza problem, not a Bills problem. There’s no need to make that a Bills problem.

Yeah, that was quite a game. Serious fairytale night for Mayfield. "Woah Baker Mayfield" indeed!
I felt a little sorry for the Raiders. They played a great first half and looked like they were clearly the better team - then they just stopped being the better team and handed that to the Rams.

Weird the radio broadcast kept talking about the raiders missed opportunites in the first half while in the red zone. I didn't watch, but to me it sounded like the raiders being the raiders.
Oh they did miss a lot of opportunities, but they also had some consistently productive drives, just no red zone payout. They weren’t destroying the Rams defense (kudos to Rams defense there) , they just were playing with more tenacity in the first half.
This was the first Lions game I've watched in I don't know when. Gotta say I'm surprised and delighted to not hate watching them aside from their complete inability to keep Jefferson from imposing his will again and again and again and again and again and having no idea how to answer.
Also hometown Hutchinson, represent! PlymouthCanton (though I think he went to private school)
The 49ers were laying such an ass whupping on the Bucs that the network changed over to Panthers/Seahawks. The Bucs have a chance to be the worst division winners in history. One can only hope that such a beating will convince old man Brady to retire (again).
Everybody and their uncle (myself included) was picking the Dolphins to beat the Chargers. Not only did the Bolts win, they dominated. Only a fluke touchdown off a fumble for Miami kept the score as close as it was. With the Jets' loss (thanks Bills) the Chargers move into the final wildcard spot at 7-6. At least they control their own destiny.
i was supposed to win my FF matchup. The craptacular performance of Tua and Waddle now makes victory, which means I might not be in the running for post-season money.

True test is coming up Thursday on the road in Seattle tho (and hopefully Deebo is OK). Rookies tend to struggle in that first road game.
Considering the very mediocre Panthers just beat the Seahawks at home, should do OK.
Note that the Panthers have not won an away game in more than a year until yesterday.
In unrelated Panthers news, I feel truly sorry for the Nebraska football program. They made the mistake of not only picking up my college team’s downright awful offensive coordinator, but Matt Rhule as head coach as well?! I wish them luck, they’re going to need it.

On the other hand, Carolina has been playing good ball lately, winning 3 of 4. IMHO, the McCaffrey trade has been good for their offense, which was far too dependent upon dump offs to him.

It’s possible the San Francisco 49ers will have to use their fourth starting quarterback of the season when they visit the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Rookie Brock Purdy suffered an oblique (abdominal muscle) injury in a 35-7 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday in his wildly successful first career start and he was undergoing an MRI when head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters Monday morning.

The recently extended wideout/running back moonlighter suffered an MCL sprain and a sprained ankle, Matt Barrows of The Athletic tweets. While the 49ers have encountered extensive trouble with MCL sprains this season, it appears Samuel has run into a fairly mild one.
Kyle Shanahan mentioned Sunday this could be a high ankle sprain, but reports Monday have left the word “high” out of the equation. High ankle sprains can linger for several weeks, and the 49ers have seen MCL sprains sideline multiple players for more than a month this year — Elijah Mitchell, Azeez Al-Shaair, Colton McKivitz. Samuel suffering both an MCL sprain and a high ankle issue would seemingly threaten his playoff availability, so it certainly represents good news a regular-season return is expected.

Purdy is fine. He injured his oblique on the 2nd drive of the game. He played pretty well after. He's listed day to day and will start Thursday.
Deebo escaped a huge injury. Shanahan needs to stop with him running the ball. I can understand why he did it last year and part of this year when we had RB depth issues. But we have the weapons now and he shouldn't be used that way.
I keep waiting for CMC to get hurt because the way he hits and takes hits. He uses all of his body.

Stupid Patriots are tied for last in the AFC East, but edged ahead of the Chargers for the last playoff spot.
Who are the Chargers playing here on out? The Patriots have a tough schedule for the rest of the way, and they're not that good, so I'm inclined to think that the Chargers have a better chance.
