NCAA Basketball 2022-2023

Post by Isgrimnur »

The pregame show on the tv at the restaurant got me to watch "The Clash" game between My Arizona Wildcats and the Indiana Hoosiers. So far, they've only lost to the Utes. (What's a Ute?)

Looks like the Running Rebels took out the Washington State Cougars earlier today.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Crimson Tide looking good, taking out #1 NC a few weeks back and then #1 Houston today.

The Hill
Texas Tech University announced its has suspended head men’s basketball coach Mark Adams over a “racially insensitive comment” he made last week.

In a news release, the school said that its director of athletics Kirby Hocutt became aware on Friday of an incident between Adams and a player.

The school said Adams, whose in his second year as the Red Raiders’ head coach, told the unidentified student-athlete to be more “receptive to coaching and referenced Bible verses about workers, teachers, parents, and slaves serving their masters.”
...
Texas Tech noted in its statement that Adams has addressed the team and apologized for his comments.

Unfortunately those 2 fucktards really did wear those shirts. SEC is aware and they will be ejected from the arena if worn to the Championship game.

I tried to go to a BWW tonight to see if I could squeeze in at the bar for a drink. Couldn't find parking near the place.

Remember when everyone said that a 16 seed would never beat a 1 seed? Good times…

Destroyed my bracket (I had Purdue in the final)…oh well.

We lost on another logo three to Gonzaga? F*ck.

Had no legs, and managed the comeback to take the lead. Really, really missed our two injured guys, Bona and Clark, especially on the glass where we were outrebounded 51-26.

The end of that SDSU/Creighton game yesterday was an absolute clusterfuck.

I do think the refs got it right in the end, but good lord, what a complete mess.

Holy shit, what an ending to the SDSU/FAU game!

Come back from 14 down in the 2nd half and hit a buzzer beater to get to the finals.

The Aztecs are making nice money for Fresno State. I hope this and Fresno State’s football will get both of them into the PAC-12.

The thing I've noticed with Alabama is that their offense is great in the regular season, but their dependence on transition points and threes is something a good defensive team can take away with time to prepare - hence the meltdowns in the sweet 16 and the first round in the past 3 tourneys. Force them to operate in the halfcourt and their offense is merely decent.
