That 90s Show

Post by Daehawk »

Dont think it will be near as good as the the 70s but might be ok as some of the same actors make appearances. Ill see...the 90s are my favorite decade so that helps.

The scary part is that the amount of time they're 'looking back' is the same.

It has been a fun change of pace after Slow Horses.

Unless we see the return of Bob and June Wheeler, not interested.

I did a search to see if they do return and couldn't find anything. If they don't, the producers/writers really missed an opportunity.

It surprised me to hear Brent tell why Bob left...seems him and the actress that played the parts were to come back as full series regulars in season 5 I think it was and run the courthouse newspaper stand...but Spiner chose Stat Trek TNG instead. Feel bad for his actress partner.

Annie O'Donnell seems to have done ok for herself.

We couldn't finish the 1st episode it was so bad. We did make it through the first episode of night court. It's not great, but def better than the 90's show. Figure I'll save that when the summer comes.

The lead teenager seems ok, the others seem contrived. A hot neighbor milf would help.
Technically, he shouldn't be here.

If I ever watch this at all it will be because I like Red and Kitty and would like to see cameos by Laura Prepon et al. I'm not interested in the dumbasses in the basement.

I watched the first episode and the only real redeeming value was in seeing familiar faces for the nostalgia hit. The rest was <insert strategically diverse cast of teenagers> blandness. Not sure if I'm willing to continue.

It gets much better a few episodes in. We watched the whole thing and I felt it got it's legs towards the end.

That's good to know. I'll give it a fair shake then. I didn't actively hate it or anything, just wasn't sure if it was worth the bother.

Everything just felt forced and unfunny. And I feel like it tries really hard to be the 70's shows instead of being it's own.

From what I have seen you tend to have similar tastes. I wanted to give up 2 episodes in and really liked it by the end. Is it as good as the 70's show? Hell no. But it gets a lot closer the last 5-6 episodes.
