I never watched it at the time. I tried a few years back, but I didn't think it aged well. I bailed after like one episode. So.... <whoosh>...

You can't do one episode. You have to do the whole original two seasons (which admittedly wanders in quality with so many different directors) and then the movie prequel which is brutal, and then the hour and a half of missing pieces, and then the whole Showtime return, which is all David Lynch. The whole thing is one of my favorite things in the world, and the very last scene in the return series is my favorite scene in any show or movie ever. I just finished a second run-through.
