TV: Krapopolis, a Dan Harmon affair (with Matt Berry!)
Title says it all, just saw ads for this running constantly on the Fox NFL game I was watching.
And for those not in the know, Dan Harmon is the creator of one of the best (anti) sit-coms on TV IMO, Community. Also of Rick and Morty fame.
The actress that played Rebecca in Ted Lasso is also voicing this, for anyone liked her...I seem to recall a bit of love here for that character.
Clem Fandango also has a major role in this. Talk about burying the lede!

Clem Fandango doesn't appear to have a role. However, Jackie Daytona from Arizonia does appear to.Carpet_pissr wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 6:12 pm Clem Fandango also has a major role in this. Talk about burying the lede!

Yeah, the great Matt Berry is involved, but not Shazad Latif (Clem Fandango).
And yes, Hannah Waddingham is also great. Of that there is no debate.

Bad joke, sorry! (Well aware who Clem Fandango is).
The supercut of those scenes is probably in my top three most watched YouTube videos of all time.

The title says it all...
What I got from the title was that Dan Harmon was having an affair with Matt Berry and that you were sad about it and living in Krapopolis. Seems that was a misinterpretation.

I had no idea who Matt Berry was until I saw this. I only recognized it cause I just finished Shadows a few days ago.Eel Snave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:48 pmClem Fandango doesn't appear to have a role. I’m going to catch shit for this, but check out the highlights of the show (specifically the Clem Fandango Supercuts). While Matt Berry is amazingly funny (loved him in WWDITS), maybe the writing on the show overall, or supporting cast was just not there (for me).Punisher wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:34 pmI had no idea who Matt Berry was until I saw this. Matt Berry's is the only name I recognize, thanks to Shadows. Apart from that I'm culturally adrift. Or maybe becalmed. I thought Don Harmon was Bozo the Clown.Punisher wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:34 pmI had no idea who Matt Berry was until I saw this. I dunno, I guess I like it? Love Ricky Gervais and pretty much anything he’s in. Monty Python: brilliant, used to be able to recite quite a bit from their movies and show.
Loved Shaun of the Dead and Trainspotting if that counts. Really like Fleabag on Amazon. I’m sure there are others I’m missing.

No, just Senate President in Illinois.
Not to be confused with the guy who made Community and Rick and Morty, who happens to have a very similar name.

Also, the title is missing an 'o'.
It changes it from a city-state full of crap to a hat full of crap (almost.)

Also it sounds like Matt Berry is playing another version of Laslo and I can get behind that.

Yeah, I was going to say the same…Berry DOES play the salacious playboy very well, whatever form he takes, live action undead or cartoon centaur (?) though!

I was disappointed in the first few episodes, but this show has progressively become one of the more clever entries on television. The last episode incorporating social media into ancient times was just genius.

Toast of London is the most Matt Berry of Matt Berry shows. Definitely find a way to watch it!Punisher wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:34 pmI had no idea who Matt Berry was until I saw this.
