Have a butcher's at the reviews on GOG. Because as I recall, Trüberbrook's unfortunately a bit of a dud (which is likely at least partly why it's being offered as freebie).

I usually only listen to Adventure Gamers reviews when it comes to this genre, since this kind of game often gets panned by modern gamers in user reviews. They (Adventure Gamers) give it a 70, so yeah, not great. I will at least try it though - but 70 is definitely a bit below my threshold.

It's a beautiful looking game, and I love the art-style, but the game itself is rather gloomy and dull, both in its humor and subject matter. I must be pretty far in it, and so far there's only been one part that really made me smile, which was a definite reference to 2001 via a HAL-like computer that you have to outsmart.

i've grabbed all of these in the past, except the 'prologue' (read: 'demo') ones - nothing new here if you've been keeping up over the past decade.

I'm sure I have some on orher platforms.
I'm also sure I won't ever play some if these.
That being said. If it's free, it's for me! Grabbed everything that wasn't already listed as owned.

probably my all-time overall favorite driving, racing, and crashing game, tho Wreckfest (from the same devs, also a great game) is way more technically advanced. and i actually liked FlatOut 1 more than FlatOut 2/Ultimate Carnage, but you can't go wrong with anything from Bugbear.

Agree with all of that.

I love Wreckfest…it’s hilarious and gorgeous…but Flatout 2 is just addictive and fun as hell…it has something that Wreckfest lacks…heart maybe.

Wreckfest on iPad is not great however (love it on console).

Book of Demons, an isometric hack n' slash ARPG deck-builder, is currently available as a free GOG giveaway until 04/04/2024.

Courtesy of Splattercatgaming, here's an overview of how it plays:

The best feature is it can adjust the difficulty and length of the game, IIRC.
