Still hurt. Still no jogging or aerobic stepping. Hit a new low of 173.5. Dropped my maintenance weight to 185, which is as low as I will let it go. I don't want to lose more weight. Not sure what I'm going to do, though I'm going to to hold off on a new plan until after my surgery at the end May.

Broke even this week. I'll take it, especially since my neighbor brought over a big ol' slab of chocolate cake that I did not turn my nose up at.

Back on the rowing wagon after a couple of weeks of travel. Hope to start back jogging this week as well.

Not sure about losing weight, but I've managed to greatly reduce my soda intake. Increased milk consumption seems to have helped, but not sure that's such a great thing either. :think:

Still hurt... Surgery scheduled for the 17th, assuming I get my PCP approval. Jogged a bit for the first time yesterday. Pain in arm was tolerable. 3 weeks of no being lazy really set back my exhaustion from jogging. I'm playing games with calories. When I get down under 175 I take my full calorie

Well I'm nothing if not consistent. Just constantly bouncing around that 200 mark. I take solace in the fact that I've increased my weekly exercise tremendously since the start of the year. So even if the weight's not exactly melting off, I'm definitely more fit.

Not a good week. Been as high as 178.5 and trending higher. So I'm cutting to "highly active" and will cut further as I have a surgery this week and my activity level is going to reset again. I did start light jogging again this week, just in time to cut it out again. Still to much pain to do real PT and again that's about reset as well.

As it turns out, if you eat the actual recommended portion size of cereal, it's not a bad value. Who knew? Convincing yourself that it's enough food, though; that's a bit of a challenge.

Surgery got delayed until the 30th; so I've upped my jogged steps to 1100 a pop and my gait has widened quite a bit. 1100 jogged steps is now about 3/4 of a mile. I'll try keep up this week and rest more next week before and than a whole lot after the surgery.

Since hurting my back I've been sidelined from the rower (and pretty much everything), but I'm still hovering around the 200 mark. I'm going to try to be extra good this week since I'm not getting any workouts in.

I've started trying to go out for a daily walk again. Nothing too intense so far. A couple minor health issues have been complicating things, but it feels good. I also continue to eat much less fast food/restaurant food which is probably the leading cause of my weight loss this year, as well as less snacking and sugar drinks.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Ugh, super stressful week what with traveling to buy a house. Next weekend I'm traveling again to supervise the inspection. My self-discipline breaks down when my routine does.

Surgery last week. My activity is limited to walking for now. Weight has been trending up dramatically in spite of my cutting calories so I went all the way back down to inactive for my guide after surgery. If my weight hadn't gone up so quickly with my activity knowingly dropping so far, I'd have let the weight come back on, hoping it's muscle slowly rebuilding but for now weight control is what I'll go for rather than overall health.

Weighed in this morning at 83.8kg (184lbs) which is right at my target. Not bad at all for a couple of months of no set pattern of weighing myself including a two week vacation.

New week, new activity level for calorie budget. Surgery recovery going way better than I predicted and weight is no longer catapulting up. I think I'm headed back to a slightly active budget and am going maintain that for a while unless my weight shoots dramatically one way or the other. I hope to move back to highly active eventually, even if it mean gaining some weight if it appears (more importantly feels) to be rebuilding muscle, but I don't also micro manage. Staying where I'm at isn't really the goal. Feeling better by means of being healthier is the real goal and weight maintenance is a means to that end.

Bah, still stress-eating and drinking, and it seems like every morning brings some obligation that overrides my walk. I'm about to drive a five-figure check to the post office as the next step in leaving my home of the past 35 years.

Wife is going to start taking Wegovy around 7/1 (if the insurance company approves) and finally get serious about losing weight. Maybe her attitude will rub off on me, or at least she'll stop breaking my self-discipline.

Trying to stop fiddlin' with my activity level and failing. My weight is all over the place. In the last two weeks, my first of the morning weight in has been as high as 179.5 and as low as 171. My activity level is going back up and I'm pushing it for the moment at least. So I'm going to try and ride these lows with fiddling for the moment and go back to just not red lining my calories. My weight is low enough now. I'd much prefer converting to muscle while I'm still young enough to let that slowly happen then continue to lose muscle and fat lug around less me.
