Why in the name of the weeping bicycle riding baby Jesus does the president need a yacht? I thought Republicans were the careful spenders.

This part interested me: "The NASA space agency, a priority of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, found a last minute boost to $16.2 billion, an increase of $822 million over last year's levels." My very weak support for Mr Bush derives almost entirely from his moon/Mars initiative, and I'm happy to see support for it. At least that $388 billion wasn't all wasted on depressing mundane crap like war, welfare, and pork. Kudos for that much, anyway.
