Wow! That's certainly been a long time coming. I might play around with this a little.

Dungeon Lords could've been a very good game if all the ideas would have been finished and the game world fleshed out a bit.

So, is the game any good now? That would have to be some patch, from what I've heard (don't own it myself).

I was in mid game and stopped playing while I waited for the 3rd patch. But I never installed the third patch and just stopped playing.

Since then my hardrive crashed so now when I reinstall it will literally be a new game.

But first things first, I have to finish Gothic 2.

Will it add the content it was sorely lacking?

Ah, the game that was so bad that Dreamcatcher didn't even bother to protect it with Starforce. Being craptastic was copy protection enough!

You'll need the 1.3 patch before you can install 1.4.

I've had it a long time and never installed it because of all the negative feedback. But I'll give it a try now.

edit: you don't need the disk to play

Glanced at the release notes: 1.4 No Details Available.

So what does this patch do?

May have to dig out the disks and reinstall it to find out.

I played it when it first came out. Quit right after the 2nd area. Does this make it fun? I think I hated the respawning enemies the most.

Theres an option to adjust the frequency of respawns, think it's always been there.

Well I patched this last night. I'll give it some time over the next little while and see if it's worth playing at all. My time's gonna be scarce for the next couple of weeks though. I'm not sure how far I'll get.

Patched it played it last night.

Most notable is that you can customize your character a little better now and the there is an in game map. Otherwize it seems to play out the same.

The map came with the 1.3 patch as you know. but it is a nice addition.

The 1.4 adds different skin colours, hair colours and hair styles and the faces seem to be slightly different.

The world still seems kinda empty.

Just noticed that you don't require a cd in drive to play.

A small thing but nice for those of us that might give it another go.

I made it to the first town again, it's as unfinished as it always was.

Guess it's time to wait for the 1.5 patch.

Good lord, where did they get the three imbeciles who claim it's a great game, then proceed to trash it as hard as the rest of the reviewers?

Have we as a society become so afraid of giving offense that some of us feel compelled to call a game great before describing why it isn't?

That is scary.

Well I don't think anyone here said it was a great game.

Some of us were willing to give it another try, but sadly even with a few more buttons, it is still an empty, boring, bugged, offering.

I agree with daehawk the company must have or be nuts to have a Collector's Edition.

This is one of those games that will end up a special IGN/Gamespy story about the Top 10 Gaming Shams of all time, and it will be about Number 2, talking about it released missing half the features on the box, and the developers actually had the balls to re-release it months later in a collectors edition, claiming it was the ultimate version, when really, it was what they sold last year.

Character Creation! Maps! No fatal bugs on non-skippable NPCS!

Christ, I played this game because Eightball told me it wasn't THAT bad, and still want him to pay for what he put me through.

It wasn't THAT bad....it was awful

I think my debt to you was paid back with the 2 world epic drops you got while duoing with me in WoW.

The hell of the sewers is nothing to us getting Robes of Insight like in December 2004 my friend :)

I should receive my copy from the Ebay seller in the next day or so. I'm figuring for $13 I'll have a lot of fun with this one.

Does anyone know the alltime record for the biggest game patch ever created? 1.4 weighs in at 140mb!
Jesus said, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body."[Matt 10:28] God can totally destroy us.

Jesus also said, "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”[John 6:40] Eternal life is conditional.

His disciple John wrote, "Whoever has the Son has eternal life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have eternal life. [1 John 5:12] Eternal life is optional.
