That was my first thought, too.
However, surely newcastle and Grund wouldn't be so openly blantant in following their king, would they? (I've never played with LM, so I'm unfamiliar with his style).
Since LM was so quick to jump on Sectoid's bandwagon, let's try:

I'm confused now. Are you voting for him because you think he's a pawn of King Sectoid or because you think he's the Dragon?

Truthfully? I just want to see what he has to say about jumping on the Sectoid vote so soon. He's not in any danger of reaching majority and I figure gathering information is a very good thing.
However, as an added bonus, since a quick pile-on vote like that seems like fairly dragon-ish behavior, that seemed like a good place for me to try to uncover a dragon, too.

That's not obvious at all.Chaosraven wrote:Obviously Lassr *isn't* King of (people voting for him). I wonder if the Night will be a massacre of ludicrous decisions or careful use or hoarding.
The goal of a King's followers is to ensure that the keys remain attuned to that House. That goal is not inconsistent with the goal of becoming ruler oneself.
Suppose Bubba is king. A bunch of people vote against Bubba, including some members of Bubba's house. Bubba dies, and his keys are therefore unheld. That night, a bunch of people clamor to re-attune those keys. But who has precedence?
Members of that house take precedence over members of other houses (and the dragon).
Among members of that house, the pecking order kicks in.
So the odds are very strong that the keys to House of Bubba will remain among his followers. Why shouldn't they refrain from voting him down, especially when resurrecting him (to garner the power of his stones) is always a live option.

Nothing to say here, really. Unless you'd like me to just start talking about said nothing. I could tell you about my evening. I was dressed as santa and went barhopping with my sister and her friends. I lost them after about 20 minutes and didn't see them again for the next five hours. I did meet with up an old friend and his wife got me to do things we won't discuss here. Shortly thereafter my old friend borrowed my phone started dialing people from my phone book. He was leaving messages about looking for reindeer so he could shoot a movie. Things started to get a little weird from that point out.Qantaga wrote:Truthfully? Take from that what you will.
I don't mind getting on a early bandwagon with no remorse. I don't really have anything to care about today. Teams are small. I prefer not to get killed myself and I'd like to see so how things move, but meh. Being a pawn and getting lynched on day the first day will see its perks before it's all done.

I'm going against the grain and vote for Dod
Whichever player is the dragon gets my vote
Seriously, I'll continue to monitor, but those voting for Lassr could be on his team and protecting him. Maybe, we should push to the brink and see who withdraws votes?

...Followed, of course, by all survivng members wasting a stone in a squabble for the key. And who will ressurrect the King? All of them (with no coordination)? Seems like a ridiculous waste, as it doesn't matter who has the key, that house is a family, no?

Re: [WW] The Rule of Thirds - The Contest has begun
There's no point in resurrecting a King, seems to me. The Prince of a House has precedence if several players tries to attune a fallen King simultaneously, so obviously the lower ranking pawns should defer attunement to the Prince. This gets trickier if members of a fallen House aren't sure their Prince is dead or alive (death only shows rank, not House) or out of Macht Stones. But if your King dies early, it should be a no-brainer and not a very big problem.Chaosraven wrote:...Followed, of course, by all survivng members wasting a stone in a squabble for the key. If Lassr is a King and his pawns are trying to get him lynched, they're either making a mistake or they're playing really convoluted. Very unlikely. There's nothing to gain.
