I have to try to get tickets to her new tour she announced today. I've been promising my daughter since the start of the pandemic that as soon as Taylor went on tour again, I'd do everything in my power to get her to a show.

Of course she's not coming anywhere close, so our best shot is Atlanta. It's going to be hella-expensive, but my daughter is a mega-fan. Taylor is literally the only artist she will listen to. And she's only become a bigger fan with the albums released since the pandemic, so now she's even more obsessed with going.

I don't mind. She's a good kid, and I have the opportunity to give her those experiences my parents didn't have the money for when I was growing up. I can't imagine how excited I would have been at her age to go see my favorite artist in person. Hoping I can actually manage to get them and surprise her for Christmas.

Planning a family trip to see her in Seattle next summer. I have the hotel room reserved and I'll book the train soon. Now I just need the concert tickets. I signed up for the pre-sale and I have a Capital One card so I'm eligible for that pre-sale as well. If that fails I'll turn to StubHub.

Kid goes off to college in the fall so this may be our last big family trip together.

I'm also a Capital One member and am trying to do this as well, but have never done it before. Do you know how it works? Will I get a special notice when I can buy tickets?

From what I read yesterday on Reddit you need to go to www.taylorswift.com/capitalone on November 15 at 2 PM. At that time the page will have a link you can use where you enter the first 6 numbers of your Capital One card to access a special pre-sale.

The CapitalOne pre-sale takes place 4 hours after the Ticketmaster one so I've signed up for TM as well.

At this point I'm resigned to paying an outrageous amount on StubHub but maybe I'll get lucky.

Yeah in 3 hours I've moved about 1/3 of the way through the progress bar. If that's an accurate indicator, I'm anticipating not getting in until at least 7pm tonight. :(

I literally got on as fast as I could this morning, having to refresh through several website crashes before finally getting in.

I saw they recommended NOT using your phone but YMMV. A few weeks ago I had issues for Ed Sheeran on my phone but it went through easily on the laptop.

In the meantime, today's has been a cluster- I won't bore you with the details but I just saw on Twitter they've pushed back West Coast sales to 3pm. Hopefully they can clear out East Coasters and work out bugs.

Just like a good old MMORPG release LMAO, it seems like no one can handle really intense traffic no matter how much info they have in advance. From a technical standpoint, they should know exactly how many people they approved for the presale and presume every single one of them would be on. Is it really that difficult? I guess so!!!

I was trying to get the tickets using Capital One pre-sale. When my wife tried to login she got a message saying it had been pushed until tomorrow to give a better experience to those shopping for tickets. I agree with rittchard - shocking we still haven't figured this out.

I got tickets for $225 a pop. But they're VIP and come with Taylor swag which my daughter will appreciate.

That was a stressful experience. You could just watch seats disappearing in real time. No time to check seating chart views, and half the time if you clicked on a seat it would get snatched right out from under you. I finally just grabbed two that looked decent and prayed they'd be OK.

Fortunately my daughter was absolutely thrilled with them after I found a seat view. They're not super close, but they're not nosebleed and have a great view of the stage.

My daughter waited a couple of hours to get in and got three tickets (her and two friends), for like $250 each. No VIP though, just NYC prices I guess.

My latest phishing campaign is spoofed ticketmaster emails telling people they got access to Taylor Swift tickets

For those that got tickets, were you able to click back and forth between the different shows to see the options, or did you just have to pick one and stick with it? I'm trying to prep for my shot at 2pm.

I was not able to - my confirmation code gave me access to the queue for the 4/29 show in Atlanta, and that's (to my knowledge) the only choice I got.

Thanks. Atlanta is where I'm trying to go too - can't decide which show is the better option between Fri/Sat/Sun. My preference is Sat, Fri, Sun, but my wife points out we might have better luck getting something on Sunday.

So I assume you got the link from Ticketmaster to be able to buy? I only got an email saying I was on the waiting list (from TM). Like Stessier, my only shot I guess is via CapitalOne today. I assume there is a "held" block for these seats (and hopefully they aren't the worst, but I suspect the better seats were available for the Ticketmaster pre-sale).

Yeah, I signed up for the Verified Fan thing through Ticketmaster, which sent me a code which gave me access to the sale. I assume there was some sort of lottery system to get a code, because I have friends who signed up that never got one.

DAMMIT. I also saw the 2000 when I got in, but within 10 minutes I was picking seats. TRYING to pick seats. I kept getting errors about my device and finally went to th reddits to look it up and someone said you have to clear your cookies when that error occurs! FUKGERUFTY^@#%U^YFG*^TF

Which means, back of the line now...and back to 2000+

Would not be surprised if someone wrote that just to get some old fool (me) to get out of line! But I had tried like 15 times to buy tickets and it kept throwing the same error.

Tricksy Taylor Swifffftsssesss! :grund: :grund:

I just decided to plunk down for the better seats, and buy as many as possible (for resell). One could make a HANDSOME and quick profit on these seats. Like 8000% profit it looks like.

Sorry - hope you get back in soon!
I just decided to plunk down for the better seats, and buy as many as possible (for resell). One could make a HANDSOME and quick profit on these seats. Like 8000% profit it looks like.
Listen to your better angels and think about the kids who want those seats and are also in line!
Good point, but I doubt those seats will be populated with 50 year olds if I were to buy to resell (and you can only buy 1 or two extra in some of the options I selected...I never had the option to select 6 for instance). Maybe the Taylor Swift Gods saw the greed in my heart and bounced my out of the line. :D Seriously doubt I will get the chance to buy now since the queue graphic is not moving AT ALL (before, it was moving at a decent clip towards the end). If this was caused by my freaking non-standard browser (Vivaldi), I am going to be pissed. Could have been uBlock Origin? I'll probably never know.

How do you know? I'm still in the queue?! What date did you pick?

Sunday. I actually got 3 in my cart (by just clicking as fast as I could at whatever I saw) on the floor, but it was 2800 and it was too much.

I jumped in the queue for Fri and Sat, but I doubt it'll matter. Can't hurt though.

Edit: The page for Sunday just went to displaying the next sale. One more shot - general public at 10am on Friday.

I'm now thinking I should have just stayed in and kept trying, even with the errors. Pretty sure I screwed myself there. :( The Friday line is not moving at. all. The first time I queued up (one minute before 2), it was moving right along, and I was in, selecting seats within 10m.

I just left the Sunday page, and then went and jumped back in. I was immediately let in and it remembered where I was in line from previously.

Not possible in my case since I cleared cookies. :(
