Should someone remind the President that he hand picked a lazy man who was dumb as rocks for the job?

Yeah that is the bizarre part. First off he looks terrible. He is the President. He has a responsibility to maintain the dignity of the office. Something that he has completely and utterly failed at. When people openly disrespect him - it is with cause. Second the buck stops with him. That he doesn't know that is why he is completely defective.

Normally I'd say, "The guy was CEO of Exxon-Mobil, he can't be all that dumb." And I'd be right. But when the president of the United States is a blathering idiot, that kind of appeal to authority no longer works.

Also, good to see he spends Dec 7th Twitter raging about perceived personal insults. Not an important day for a sitting president to quietly reflect on history or anything. Good day to be a babbling asshole.

I don't believe ExxonMobil has ever gone bankrupt, unlike certain other failing companies.

From the WaPo, Nick Ayers says nope I’m not touching that job with a 10 foot pole.
Four other candidates are now believed to be in the running to direct Trump’s White House, administration officials said Sunday. Ayers, a longtime operative who is currently Vice President Pence’s chief of staff, said in a tweet that after departing he “will work with the #MAGA team to advance the cause.”
Probably prefers a job where he won’t be subpoenaed.

Was trying to hire Ayers some sort of power play against Pence? Or was he already leaving?

Don't forget that when he hired him, Trump had this to say about Tillerson. Only the BEST.
I have chosen one of the truly great business leaders of the world, Rex Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, to be Secretary of State.
Whether I choose him or not for "State"- Rex Tillerson, the Chairman & CEO of ExxonMobil, is a world class player and dealmaker. Stay tuned!

Why wouldn’t someone want one of the truly great and meaningful jobs in Washington.
Maybe it's because you have ruined everything that was great and meaningful about it, and now that role is just an appointed punching bag?

I'm sure there after millions who would take the position. That's not the point. There are few to no qualified people who would.

Why are you making fun of hotjobs? They're the BEST at finding jobs. People are saying good things about hotjobs. They are only chosen by the best employers. Top notch people use hotjobs.

Back on topic, let's take look at the "monumental assault on science at the Department of the Interior"
Among the up-is-down, night-is-day practices of the Trump administration, one of the most dangerous and disturbing is its habit of turning America’s leading science agencies into hives of anti-science policymaking.

A new report lays out how this has produced a “monumental disaster” for science at the Department of the Interior. The report by the Union of Concerned Scientists details how Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and his minions have in the space of two years turned Interior from a steward of public lands and natural resources into a front for the mining and oil and gas industries.
Fuck these assholes.

Assuming there is a return to sanity in the future, one can only hope there will be an investigation and all malfeasance or even crimes from ignorance are tracked and the perps made accountable and historic. Take away their assets, "they're privilege" and then let the real trade war begin, where those who benefit from being citizens of the world whoe have their malfeasance protected internationally have their multinational protection units also shut down. That's a great way to recover wealth. Your wealth that we can't seize if funnelilng through the Caymuns. Caymuns we demand the wealth of this bank? No? We are finished. Dominican you are letting Caymuns funnel wealth after is established we are done? Well, we are done. Delaware and Ireland, prepare for an audit.

Examples of why I will rightfully never be in charge.

Good point. Wasn't Jared put in charge of like, everything when drumpf first came to office? Something huge anyway. Maybe "make federal government work right" or something like that. Something absurdly huge. Perhaps he can do all that and be Chief of Staff.
