I think the Killer would be more likely to fake Prom King to their partner.
Having an alibi partner as you keep feeding them "so-and-so is not the Killer"

Re: [WW] Prom Night Massacre - 12:10 AM - Poor Bubbs
I was thinking the same thing this morning. You just beat me to posting it. Gonna make trusting one's partner if they claim to be the King a bit difficult. At the same time, if the real King tells his partner his scan and the results - say after 2 scans - the partner can then announce the results with no danger to the King. It just means that partner probably dies after revealing the info, but that fits into CR's n-x thing with x being the number of revealed scans plus 1 (the 1 being the partner). Then the King gets more scans while remaining anonymous. Assuming the King wasn't Mr Bubbles. We know Mr Bubbles wasn't the Female Heroine. Of course, all of this gets thrown out the window if the King's partner is the Killer which should be why the King scans his partner first - if that wasn't already done. This would be the best reason for thre Killer to off his partner early.Chaosraven wrote:I think the Killer would be more likely to fake Prom King to their partner.

Of course, Slashy could fake this stuff to create more chaos.

unless, i missed the ruled Prom King and Queen could be the date of the slasher. Just food for thought. If I was prom king I would certainly scan my partner first

absolutely, and hopefully that is exactly what he did, and now he can start feeding them the scan info as a backup.tru1cy wrote:unless, i missed the ruled Prom King and Queen could be the date of the slasher. Just food for thought. If I was prom king I would certainly scan my partner first

Sorry to be so quiet. I just don't really have much to add in the early going. Haven't played in a long time and there is nothing to go off of. My vote remains on theohall for lack of a better option.

Personally, if I were the killer - I don't think I would fake the King. If the real King stepped up, It would basically be all over, right? (with perhaps 1 more night, I suppose)
Perhaps it's my Athena 'run-in' (speaking of an old BSG-WW game) , but I would be a little shy on claiming Seer, before being backed into a corner.
Here is an interesting question. If you were the King - would ya tell your partner ?? Before the game started, I had reasoned (internally) that it would be unwise. A "partner-student" would perhaps just find that datum distracting and garner the king unwarranted suspicion - a "partner-killer" would obviously react with extreme prejudice.

I was really hoping to talk possible killer strategies during the next lynch cycle for the simple fact that I don't want to help him plan now.Unagi wrote:Personally, if I were the killer - I don't think I would fake the King. (and you, and others, will see my comment above - as me trying to keep you from doing it)
Anyhow - I'm not sure what about my play has Grund actually feeling that I'm the one (if he does), but - I have clearly nothing in my defense. I've been theoretical, I've been short of concrete... Hell, I've even been careful about what I've said.
But - I'm not the killer. I'll buy you lunch at OctoCon if I am... (care to return the offer??)
And, yeah - wow - everyone does seem to play this game only waiting to follow Grund's lead.
If I die, I will leave you all with this.
Theohall is playing sharper than he has in a while. Not sure if that warrants anything.
If Remus was unlucky enough to start this game as the Killer - he would seriously be inclined to start it just like last time (fast vote on Grund).
Also, (... if Remus) - his came after the kill order was sent (guessing, based on time stamps) A player that just killed Mr Bubbles would be a player that maybe felt he needed to reply to Mr Bubbles "partner" statement.
Grund is annoying, and quite possibly evil - la dee dah.
Lassr, jerk.
Isgrimnur, also a jerk.

I'm not real big on casting the last vote between 3-7 pm ET because it's not usually a good time for someone to make a last ditch post. So, I will wait to see what Unagi has to say before casting a vote which gets him shot. Of course, that won't stop someone else from getting him shot.

Semaj, I just mean that I will be chatty. And that if you want to lynch someone out of blind-luck, (like a first day kill) may as well make it a player like Tru1cy or Chaosraven - someone that will have 10 posts at the end of the game.
