My God, Trump's tie?? Does he polish his shoes with it?

It's the Oval Office, photographers are swarming, but the two dudes are splaying for crotch shots like drunks on a bus.

WTF are those golden nudes on the mantel?

Pence's tight buttoned suit while sitting down is everything Pence.

The more I look at this pic, the more I'm convinced that Pelosi is the only one who belongs in the room.

I just spent half an hour searching for oval office images under previous presidents.

Nobody has taste this bad. We're lucky he hasn't changed the wallpaper to glitter.

Of course all his points are valid...

...if you're drumpf's mother.

And in Drumpf's defense, he is sitting and leaning forward, but with a history of wearing his ties too long, I'm not willing to defend him on this.

After being dared to try by Pelosi, GOP trying to get wall funding to pass in House
House Republicans are struggling to come up with a strategy to fulfill President Trump's demands that the lower chamber pass a funding bill that includes $5 billion for his promised border wall.

By Wednesday evening, GOP leaders still had not settled on what vehicle they would use to fund the wall or if they would even take a vote this week to do so. Lawmakers in the House have until just Dec. 21 to avert a partial government shutdown, and are only scheduled to be working for four of those days.
...
In an explosive meeting in the Oval Office a day earlier, Trump told Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that he could easily push $5 billion in wall funding through the House. Pelosi told him the bill would fail spectacularly — and dared him to try.

Now, Scalise, Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are under enormous pressure to prove their ally in the White House was correct and that Pelosi, the likely incoming Speaker, was wrong.
I really hope this blows up in their faces.

Trump doesn't want the wall. He wants a fight about the wall.
But Trump isn’t offering a deal, and he isn’t constructing the kind of process where anyone might offer him a deal. Instead, he’s looking for a photo op. He’s looking for a clip of himself he can see played, and praised, on Fox & Friends.

Trump has a tendency to view his presidency as a reality television show where what’s important are storylines, confrontations, and plot twists. What he made yesterday was good television. But good television is about the fight, not the deal. The deal happens behind closed doors, it requires giving things up and seeing the other side’s perspective.

The deal often hurts. It often disappoints some of your supporters. The reason politicians make deals, though, is that they care about the thing they’re trying to get done. They care about it enough to give up something of value in order to get it.

Trump doesn’t care enough about the wall to give up anything in order to get it. He didn’t care enough when Democrats offered to fund the wall if Trump would protect DREAMers, and he doesn’t care enough now.
We all inherently know this, but I thought this article articulated it very well.

Can you imagine if the wall were actually built? After a few years no one would support the cost of maintaining it, and it would fall into disrepair, a monument to stupidity.

Trump returns to trying to deport Vietnamese immigrants going all the way back to the war.
The Trump administration is resuming its efforts to deport certain protected Vietnamese immigrants who have lived in the United States for decades—many of them having fled the country during the Vietnam War.

This is the latest move in the president’s long record of prioritizing harsh immigration and asylum restrictions, and one that’s sure to raise eyebrows—the White House had hesitantly backed off the plan in August before reversing course. In essence, the administration has now decided that Vietnamese immigrants who arrived in the country before the establishment of diplomatic ties between the United States and Vietnam are subject to standard immigration law—meaning they are all eligible for deportation.
“Forty-three years ago, a lot of the Southeast Asian communities and Vietnamese communities fled their countries and their homeland due to the war, which the U.S. was involved in, fleeing for their safety and the safety of their families,” said Kevin Lam, the organizing director of the Asian American Resource Workshop, an advocacy group. “The U.S. would do well to remember that.”

POTUS wrote:I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!
Trumponomics is magic!

The actual, official Homeland Security website:
DHS is committed to building wall and building wall quickly. We are not replacing short, outdated and ineffective wall with similar wall. Instead, under this President we are building a wall that is 30-feet high.

FACT: Prior to President Trump taking office, we have never built wall that high.
I guess the administration is so anti-press, they're against articles of all kinds.

Interesting both due to the grammatical errors and also due to DHS apparently not knowing that a fence is not a wall.

Can't wait to find out that Trump crafted that message and then demanded it was put on the DHS website as written (or likely, dictated).
