Death Stranding 2

Post by Smoove_B »

Embark on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA. Sam—with companions by his side—sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected? Step by step, legendary game creator Hideo Kojima changes the world once again.
I still think I only have like ~2 hours into the original and I keep meaning to go back to it, but this trailer is bonkers.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

What in the actual... I... that...

Like this makes the first game seem utterly plausible by comparison.

I tried the first game but only made it about an hour in before the excessive cut scenes and odd gameplay turned me off. That's probably unfair, but I don't think I'm the kind of gamer that Hideo targets.

I've played three Kojima games.

Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2
Death Stranding

Note, those first two are NOT the Metal Gear Solid games. There were actually pretty typical games and not Kojima at all. Death Stranding was a huge departure for me, but the gameplay just grabbed me for whatever reason.

Do you eventually do more than stumble around and tip over due to wearing a giant backpack? If so, maybe I'll give it another go sometime.

Way, way more. Including tipping over your overloaded motorcycle and being eaten by... ummm... and then there's well spoiler and then the other spoilers and building roads and dealing with porch pirates in a lethal way and... uhhh spoilers.

Yeah, it's a lot more than Amazon Delivery Simulator.

I also assumed there was a point where you put a fetus in a motorcycle gas tank and then use an inter-dimensional portal to send it to Days Gone.

Because that was also weird.

I was under the impression after an hour of playing that it was primarily about selecting quality footwear that would help you stay upright in a post apocalyptic world.
