What are your picks for 10 best films of all time?

American films, only, so people will more likely recognize the films you list. Otherwise, I'd squeeze in RAN.

casablanca
singin' in the rain
goodfellas
forbidden planet
the sand pebble
wizard of oz
fargo
spartacus
princess bride
crimes and misdemeanors

I cannot choose a definite list, because sometimes some movies will be in, and sometimes they won't. I'm fickle :P

  2. The Big Lebowski
  3. Lost in Translation
  4. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
  5. Jerry Maguire
  6. Moulin Rouge
  7. O Brother Where Art Thou
  8. The Usual Suspects
  9. Toy Story 2
  10. Shawshank Redemption
Where Cows Congregate - The Bovine Conspiracy

These are in no particular order; it's too hard to rank movies that are this good...

The Lord of the Rings
(extended trilogy)
Braveheart
American Beauty
The Matrix
Band of Brothers
(Yeah, I know it's not a 'movie,' but it deserves to be here)

Leon
(Real version of 'The Professional')

Hot Shots Part Deux
Monty Python & the Search for the Holy Grail
Boondock Saints
The Princess Bride

6. Red Sonja

1. The Great Escape
2. The Blues Brothers
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. Princess Bride
5. Blazing Saddles
6. Young Frankenstien
7. Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail
8. Caddyshack
9. The Sixth Sense
10. Animal House

I almost put Star Wars in there as it was certainly a favorite, but I find it hasn't really aged well for me. Naturally, on any given day I would have a different list.
