Log in problems

Post by dbt1949 »

Everytime I go offline and come back on I have to relog back onto the forums here(I don't have this problem at other sites). I clicked the little box saying to save my password.
My internet security settings are set to default(medium) .
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I'm having the same problem, dbt. My suggestion: never log off. Ever. Just sit there hitting F5. :)

My internet settings are the same dbt, but I'm not having that problem. Yet, anyway.

For what it's worth, I think it's connected the redirect.

When I was connecting to www.brutesquad.net and then getting redirected, I had to log in every time. Very annoying.

Then I added the index to my favorites, and I haven't had the problem since.

That makes sense. Is there anyone having the prblem that is linked to the forum index page and not one of the domains without a specific page?

This may take a little evidence gathering to see what we need to do to fix it.

Same problem, and basically just started happening within the last few hours. It was working fine for me all afternoon.

Yeah, I've been having the same problem too. I'll be checking to see if it does the same thing at home, where I have the URL bookmarked.

Just had my first problem. Took forever to get here when I clicked on pcgamesforum, and then it took me to the Brutesquad main page, which it didn't do before. 'Course, maybe that was what it was supposed to do from the first, don't know.

I should take you to the forum frontpage, which read Brutesquad Forum at the top. The address in the url windows should be http://www.pcgamesforum.com/phpBB2/

We have identified some cookie issues and are working on correcting them.

I have been having this problem today as well. Not only when opening the site, but from forum to forum as well. It was working fine up until today.

Oddly, the only way I could post this (assuming that it does post) was to open the site, log in, then open it again, having the same forum open twice, then it didn't log me out. Very weird.

I'm thinking there must be others having the same problem and I hope a few technical problems in these early days won't scare anyone away.

I've changed the name of our cookie. This will hopefully at least solve some of these issues. It was still at the defaul and I'm sure a lot of other forums have it set to that. The cookie name is now pcgamesforum
