Fatal Frame 1 and 2! Both are great they really suck you into the game. It's really really scary playing that game along in the dark let me tell you. Haven't tried the xbox version of FF2 where you can play in first person but I'm sure that's extremly scary. Damn I wish it wasn't 50 bucks for that version I really want to give it a shot on my new HDTV!

I remember enjoying Phantasmagoria, but I had been grounded for three months at the time.

How about Zork Nemesis? I thought it was a pretty good "dark" adventure back in the day.
