Die Hard: With a Truss

Post by Mr. Fed »

Yippie ki yay, you whippersnapper!

The soon-to-be-50-year-old Bruce Willis will film his fourth Die Hard movie, apparently.

Isn't it about time to let the series die? The first was great -- a watershed in good action flicks -- but the second wasn't as good and the third sucked, despite Samuel Jackson.

The only redeeming possibility is that they rejected Jessica Simpson for a role.

Bruce Willis really needs a hit movie.

Add a wife, Tom Arnold and a Harrier jet and you got True Lies.

There was talk once that they were going to make True Lies 2. Now that Arnie is the Govenator, maybe they'll use the script.

Huh, you think? I thought the second one was kind of meh, and the third one was really good.

I liked the third one too. Much better than the 2nd one, that one was just bad.

Except stabbing someone with an icicle. That's always been my fantasy. I hope there's snow for the next NC get together.

I liked the 3rd one but I hate that "drunken hero must pull it together" theme. Willis did way to many movies with that same theme - "The Last Boyscout" etc.

I also thought it was stupid to have the villian be the brother of the first guy. It was just a silly tie in.

I enjoyed all three, though the 2nd was my least favorite. I really loved Samuel L. Jackson in the 3rd one. Will be interesting to see how this pans out, though you have to wonder how bad this guy's luck is that he keeps stumbling into these situations.

I liked the third movie, too.

Anyway, we've already had a mid-50s-year-old James Bond a while back, and will soon have an Indiana Jones at retiring age. Maybe older action heros are more popular than they'd seem?

 OK, that's it. The invitation has been rescinded. No OO get together for you!

Im with Fed...that 3rd one sucked hard. And no, the 2nd one wasnt much better.

As for a 4th, well I think the immortal words of Latrell Spreewell fit here: A man's gotta be able to feed his family.

Michelle Yeoh isn't that much younger than Bruce Willis.
