You know, with so many people wandering around the halls late at night stealing from each other you think we'd have found all of the killers by now. ;)

Although I do wonder why Zurai waited so long to come out about stealing that quire...

Wait...something doesn't add up. That would mean that Zurai stole Tru1cy's teeth and Kelric's Quire on the same night!

Okay, I think I had my timeline screwed up...
Kelric wrote: I'll also come forward and admit to being a Dysanite. However, last night my Quire was stolen. I can confirm that setaside is the Wolfboon Wannabe and that pr0ner was the Profiler. The only other confirmation I can make is that Mr. Bubbles did not have any teeth on him when he was killed.
This was prior to executing that harlot Leigh. Let me make my corrections.

Corrections made. Sorry guys, my bad.

What was your question to the Quire?

I'll vote for Padre later tonight when I get online if he hasn't already been exterminated. I'm not going to push him over until we give everyone a chance to speak.

I'm still looking for any information on
the Fair teeth stolen from Zurai
the Feral teeth stolen from Bad Demo
the Quire stolen from Kraegor (or the quire stolen from mr bubbles)
last night's haunting.

Or any information that contradicts what we've been told.

Such as if you stole a notecard from someone who claims to have had an artifact stolen that same night.

Or you stole a notecard from Tru1cy, Nameless, Bakhtosh, rdm, mrBubbles, or Kelric since none of those should have notecards at all.

Uhhh, your list has nameless confirming himself. I don't think it works like that.

Everyone has notecards. When you have an artifact the thief will ignore the cards and take the artifact. That doesn't mean you do not have the cards just that they are left behind.

The four Wolfboons, the Wolfboon Wannabe, the Profiler, and the ten DARLings start the game with three notecards each. Nobody who starts with an artifact starts with notecards.

Nameless claims that he had the artifact for 2 turns. So no one can confirm that turn but him. If you'll notice on the next day, I have that possession was confirmed by Orinoco.

I should probably change the text to note that he retained possession of the item and not have a confirmed/unconfirmed note for that day.

Better to have them sneak into my room at night than you or Chaosraven.

I never got a chance to spring my trap yesterday, so I'll just speak clearly now. On the second night, while my teeth and rdm's quire were being stolen from me, I stole a set of teeth from Zurai. I spent the next day rather worried, as Zurai didn't state that he'd stolen tru1cy's teeth, so I was terrified I'd end up holding the feral teeth and the wolves would come for me.

Fortunately, it turned out I was holding the fair teeth. I asked them about Orinoco that night, and received this answer:

Orinoco is not a wolfboon.

Thus, he can be definitively added to the list of innocents. I am somewhat concerned about Zurai's silence in the matter, as it was quite some time before he admitted that he had taken the teeth from tru1cy. Thus he and Remus West are still rather suspicious in my eyes.

I also was trying to spring a trap. I received a haunting last night. NoxiousDog had a Quire when he was killed. This means that the boons had a quire last night. If you stole the missing quire last night, you stole it from a wolfboon.

If the boons follow their previous pattern, I'll probably die tonight, so I'll go out stating that I haven't had any artifacts since the Feral teeth were stolen from me on the first PC night.

I haven't lied about anything, and you now know all that I know.

Good luck. To the conf. of the dead, you'll have to pick someone else to haunt. Thanks for trusting me.

I'd like to point out for everyone that reads the post by Bakhtosh and the following vote update by Grund that an interesting chasm has opened between those voting and those not voting, namely that many of us who have not voted are very likely innocent.

The three first votes for Padre are Kraegor, Caine, and Zurai, all complete mysteries.

Padre has been pretty much confirmed to be a wolf and this was proven by Leigh's execution. A slamdunk vote for the innocents, so why not pile on while you can if you're a wolf? I believe without a doubt our other two wolves lie within those three.

This leaves BD, Chaos, and Unicornpoint.
There is a possibility that only one voter above is a wolf and there's also the possibility that the feral teeth turned one of these three. BD had them last, supposedly. Noted.

I recommend for one:
A: We confirmed innocents plan a joint theft of the above three voters and the other unknowns if needed.

B: I propose we do not steal from each other at the very least.

Of your list of three, I tried to steal from one of the others.

Nothing.

I'm wondering why none of the boons have chosen to point out how chummy I was with leigh right from the start.

I'm wondering if the stats and info we're looking at is accurate.

Mostly I'm wondering where Remus got confirmed innocent status.

Does that point to Kelric or Bakhtosh?

Padre

I have no teeth, I have no quire, I have some lousy notecards I haven't used cuz I have no real information to pass along.

I will write a notecard if you would like so in the event the theft is successful from my room you get a card that proves I don't have teeth or quire rather than a "found nuthin" result that doesn't even let you know if the theft was successful.

I wanted to put this in writing... not sure if it tells us anything, but the votes by round are highlighted with the 'boons in orange and each of the 6 non-confirmed people (including me) in a different color.

Oh, and Padre needs to be lynched.

Zurai said he checked me then Bahktosh said he took the teeth from Zurai and check Orinoco. Mostly I find all of this talk about teeth sad since I have never seen them. I am only confirmed innocent if you believe Zurai's word on me. Even if you do it proves nothing about Zurai.

As for your chumminess with Leigh, CR, I had noted it and thought nah, he is to smart to attach himself to a partner who had been outed in that way. Of course the fact that you are the one to bring it back up makes me wonder if you had meant to have it there as a plan that way.

As for the notecards, I do not plan on changing mine so you can still get one that says I suspect Orinoco. At least that way you will know you suceeded if you try stealing from me. I will not be mentioning them again though since I think it starts to be important that we hide as much information about the possible current location of artifacts. By all means keep letting us know if one gets stolen and what it told you when stolen but do not talk about not stealing them or failed attempts anymore. I think mostly I am the one at fault on that count.

And no rdm, I can not think of a reason to wait much longer to wait on Padre

I think the Leigh/Padre/Krageor/Zurai/rdm block is more likely.

I will stay with Leigh.
I don't want this lost like Grund's list was.
Oh, and lest we forget. :D

Don't know if its right or not, but if they killed him in hopes of burying it...well, I made that mistake once, fool me once.......

Oh.

And here I had Zurai and Orinoco with Leigh and Padre.

It would have been pretty silly to be that public with a bad guy partner.

So by that standard maybe I am a bad guy.

I believe that makes six out of seven for Padre, so he's obviously not long for this world. And as his death will more or less proves me innocent, I suspect I'm not long for this world. So I'll talk while I can.

We have four that I consider fairly solidly to be innocent. Remus has been cleared, but there's only Zurai's word on that, so it's possible that both are wolfboons. Bakhtosh is most likely innocent, but there is always the possibility that he was attacked and turned on the first night. The odds are against it, but keep it in mind if you've killed four wolfboons and it's not over.

As rdm noted, the first three to throw votes out for Padre today were Kraegor, Caine, and Zurai, none of whom we can be sure of. It seems to be that voting for a wolfboon that everyone knows is a wolfboon would be a good way to try to throw off suspicion. Further, voting quickly would prevent any further discussion during the day. So I think it quite likely that one of those three is a wolfboon, though obviously I can no longer confirm anything myself.

So, let's see how this goes. If I don't survive, anyone who gets out of here alive better properly attribute me in your research, or I'll haunt you but good.

How do you attribute to nameless? Won't it look like we are morons that don't know how to spell anonymous?

Their patience taxed by serial manipulations, the DARLings are in no mood to tolerate empty protests from Padre. They know what they think of him, and they do not care what he thinks of them.

Wrestling Padre to the ground, the DARLings bind his wrists and ankles with power cords from the matching Bauer-Coble lamps. They chill him in the flash freezer, but do not kill him thus, for the force of the ghastly faces, coiled entrails, and strewn parts overwhelms their emotions. Their anger boils over.

As soon as the cold has taken the fight out of Padre, the DARLings remove him from his icy prison, slap him into consciousness, and mock his immobility. They spit on him, strike him, and revile him. The fury of recriminations continues to rage until, finally, one of the DARLings, wielding an electric knife, stabs Padre in the solar plexus, cores his heart from its home, shakes the fistful of gore before their victim's eyes, and shouts "Listen to this! LISTEN TO THIS!"

Overheated passions give way to methodical dissection until, as expected, the macabre excavation uncovers the mark of the Ordo Varcolacorum on Padre's breastbone.

The DARLings consider separating the sternum and cramming it down the throat of their prey, but the stark reality of their own victimhood at the hands of a dark conspiracy depresses their enthusiasm. Instead, the DARLings abandon the husk. Walking like those who sleep, they shamble roomward to face the calamitous night.

It is night. Perhaps a shower before bed is in order.

* Wolfboons (if alive) may now PM one another until dawn. When they are ready, their appointed representative should PM me the name of the person they wish to attack.

* The Profiler (if alive) should PM me a plan for the night ("I will Sleep" or "I will Stalk X" or "I will Shadow X").

* The Conference of the Dead should appoint a delegate from their number. The delegate should PM me the name of the person (if any) who will be haunted and the message ("The Dead suspect that X is a Y" or "The Dead suspect that X has Y") of the haunting.

* The Wolfboon Wannabe (if alive) should PM me a question ("Is X a Y?" or "Was X a Y?") about the actual identity of any Living or Dead player.

* Any Dysanites (if alive) who lack a their Quire should PM me a question ("Does X have my quire?") about the current location of that Quire.

* Any player who possesses one or more Quires should PM me (at most) one question per Quire ("Was X a Y?" or "Did X have Y?") about the actual identity or possessions of any Dead player.

* Any player who possesses one or more pouches of Teeth should PM me one question per pouch ("Is X a Y?" or "Does X have Y?") about the actual identity or possessions of any other Living player.

* Any player who would like to leave a notecard on the nightstand should send me a PM containing the notecard's assertion ("X is a Y" or "X has a Y" or "X was a Y" or "X had a Y").

* Every Living player should PM me a Writ of Theft containing the following information:
  1. whether a Theft will be attempted
  2. the intended victim of that Theft
  3. a number from 1 to 100 (inclusive)
Committing a theft is not required; filing a Writ of Theft is required. The sun will not rise until I have received a Writ of Theft from every Living player.

All posting in the thread (except by the Moderator) is forbidden during the night.

The occipital bone, situated at the back and lower part of
the cranium, is trapezoid in shape and curved on itself. It
is pierced by a large oval aperture, the foramen magnum,
through which the cranial cavity communicates with the
vertebral canal.

The curved, expanded plate behind the foramen magnum is
named the squama; the thick, somewhat quadrilateral piece in
front of the foramen is called the basilar part, whilst on
either side of the foramen is the lateral portion.
...
The external surface is convex and presents midway between
the summit of the bone and the foramen magnum a prominence,
the external occipital protuberance. Extending lateralward
from this on either side are two curved lines, one a little
above the other. The upper, often faintly marked, is named
the highest nuchal line, and to it the galea aponeurotica is
attached. The lower is termed the superior nuchal line. That
part of the squama which lies above the highest nuchal lines
is named the planum occipitale, and is covered by the
Occipitalis muscle; that below, termed the planum nuchale,
is rough and irregular for the attachment of several muscles.

From the external occipital protuberance a ridge or crest, the
median nuchal line, often faintly marked, descends to the
foramen magnum, and affords attachment to the ligamentum nuchæ;
running from the middle of this line across either half of the
nuchal plane is the inferior nuchal line.

A varcolac (or vârcolac or vircolac) in Romanian folklore may
refer to several different figures. In some versions, a
vârcolac is a wolf demon. As the Norse Fenris, a varcolac may
swallow the moon and the sun; it's thus responsible for
eclipses.
...
Some legends say it is a ghost or vampire (Strigoi) while
others say it is a werewolf (in some versions, a werewolf that
emerges from the corpses of babies).
...
Varcolaci are often described as:

        * dogs, always two in number
        * animals smaller than dogs
        * dragons
        * animals with multiple mouth, such as octopus
        * spirits
...
The word vârcolac is a loan from Slavic (Bulgarian varkolak, and
vulkodlak, Greek vrykolakas), meaning "werewolf" (etymologically
"Wolf's Fur").
...
Varcolaci are said to fasten themselves to the thread of people
spinning at midnight, then going up to eat the moon and cover it
with blood.

Their power is said to last as long as the thread is not broken.
