[WW-Monty Python]Remus' first game - END ENGLISH WIN

Post by Remus West »

Well there has been a huge decrease in these games right now but I am hoping there will be enough interest to fill one and keep it active. Hint.

I forget who ran the first Monty-Python based games but I am blatantly ripping them off. Not Sorry. :D

16 players.
Roles:
1 - Brother Maynard - seer type guy
3 - French guys - werewolf type guys
1 - Tim
1 - Sir Robin
1 - Sir Lancelot
1 - Concorde
1 - Dennis
7 - True Englishmen

Explanation of roles (Other than Maynard and French as they are pretty stock).

Tim - Magician with the power to blow things up. He may use this power once to kill another player. He will then leave as he was only hanging out to impress people anyway.

Sir Robin - Each night cycle there is a 15% chance that he will decide the time is right for him to make his move and run like hell for anywhere but here.

Sir Lancelot - His bravery leads him to attempt to protect his fellow Englishmen. Should he protect a Frenchman they will trap and kill him without losing one of their own. Should they come after him directly he will take one to the great beyond with him. Should they come after the one he is protecting there will be no killing in the night. He is brave, not sneaky, they will notice him and move off avoiding the confrontation.

Concorde - If killed he will get better. Once.

Dennis - As a peasant he can not be lynched. As long as his identity is secret. If he mouths off about the violence inherent in the system before it actually gets violent with him the group will kill him just to shut him up. This is mostly to keep him from shouting "Hey. I'm Dennis" not from implying it. If a lynch vote happens to target him and gain a majority there will be no hanging that day.

Game will begin with a night cycle. French kill someone. Maynard checks nationality. Lancelot chooses to protect or not. Robin chances running away.

This is a NO PM game. Certain roles could easily break it if PMs were allowed. There will be no time limit on the voting and votes may be changed until the moderator checks the thread and finds a majority has been reached. Until then feel free to withdraw and/or change votes but be obvious about it. As always, only bolded names will be considered to be a vote.

As I do not want to wait days to get this going if the final slots are not filled by noon eastern time Friday I will go ahead and start the game with the players already in but only 2 French instead of three.

Also I realized I did not note some things. This should be a no PM game. The French may PM at night to coordinate but should not during the day cycle. There will be no timetable on the voting, we will go until I check and there is a majority in effect. I will allow withdrawn votes after the fact until I check the thread IF we reach the 16, if we go ahead short of 16 I will NOT allow withdrawls or changes after a majority has been reached. This should allow the French a little bit of an advantage to balance the extra players a bit.

If it makes things easier I volunteer to play twice.

I think you need to make the no PM rule more obvious...I usually skip over the chatter leading up to the game and only read the rules once the game begins.

I happened to see that you posted & read that PM'ing was a no-no...

Game is full. Roles are being assigned. PMs will be sent to all to let you know the game is afoot.

Night falls over the sleepy little camp by the cliffs. Fortunately it misses both the camp and the cliff, thus all escape injury. There is tension in the air though. Arthur has been called back to Camelot and left our intrepid band to fend for themselves while continuing the search for the Grail and something feels wrong to our group of knights. Strange voices in a foul laguage can be heard in the darkness. To make matters worse they have run out of minstrels so there is no music to lift their hearts.

IT IS NIGHT
Maynard may question
Lancelot may protect
French must kill

Feel free to make any baseless accusations you would like during the night.

Well, I'm wondering how does a Puerto Rican ends up in the middle ages with a bunch of pasty white guys. Not an accusation. Just a thought. :P

You know we often hate that which we possess in ourselves. Is there anything you would like us to know about you Kelric.

Because I would sure like to know why you have a copy of Discours sur l'histoire by Marin le Roy de Gomberville in your pocket.

All I know is that your mother smells of elderberries - or is it your father? Doesn't matter, cause one of them's a hamster as well!!
