D.O.A.

Middle 1950's I think? Way better than the remake.

Ok, here's one:

I was very disappointed in that movie, having read the book for an anthropology course. I got an "A" for slagging it in a review.

Here's a much, much, mu-huuuch better movie:

Hints: the movie is widely considered to be one of the best American films ever made. This scene is the most important one in the movie, according to the director.

Geez, don't tell me I stumped the room with this classic..

OK, the movie stars two western legends effectively making their swan songs. The guy pictured was probably the most successful western actor of his time not named John Wayne and this was his last film ever. His co-star would make a few more movies, but only as a bit player. The director, on the other hand, was just getting started. Practically unknown when this was made, he would go on to become one of the most iconic American directors of the 60's and 70's.

And here's another picture from the same film for good measure:

Okay...I had a horrible time trying to find a good picture from this movie, and all I have is 2 low quality shots, so you get both of them:

"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.
