Interesting interview about BG3 and FO3

Post by EddieA »

There's an interview with Damien Foletto, formerly of Black Isle Studios, here, including the plots of what would have been Baldur's Gate 3 and Fallout 3.

Yep, I'm really pissed that Interplay decided to do the forgettable Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance series, instead of picking up the rights for Baldurs Gate 3 ....

Oh well, they are history now anyway. Serves them right.

Makes me lament the other "good" games like this cancelled by suits....

Yet, who can blame the suits; most demand more easily palatable games (in this case, Dark Alliance). I don't think those of us who enjoy deep, sophisticated games are smarter or better; we're just more demanding. Fortunately for the suits (and unfortunately for us), the can easily dismiss us (although not entirely; they still have to convince the reviewers).

In the first post there is indeed a link. The word "here" is said link. Make sure you have html turned on in your profile.
