Well it looks too good to be Mechwarrior 2 and too ugly to be Mechwarrior 3. And it doesn't look like the Starsiege games either. Drat.

Metaltech: Earthsiege?
On second thought, Earthsiege was mostly flat terrain, and those shots look much better than the 320 x 240 I remember playing.

Nope. And by the way, sorry the screenshots are so small. Best I could find.
Alright, here's a huge hint: This game had a fairly large singleplayer campaign that was available at retail, and while the game had a pretty big fanbase, very few of them ever bought it. However, I'm not implying they acquired the game illegally. Far from it.

Re: Name the Game from the Screenshot, Part 4
Nope. Alright, the total give-away hint. You could play the full multiplayer game by downloading it from the company's website. You did not need to own the game. However, you could only play online on one "planet." One level, one map. Whatever you want to call it. The same went for people who bought the retail game, which is why people didn't buy it. This game was primarily online-focused. If you paid a monthly fee, you could play on all the rest of them, and have access to additional weapons and upgrades. People actually still play this game today.
If no one gets it now, I'm just going to choose another game tomorrow.

Re: Name the Game from the Screenshot, Part 4
I need another hint I think.
The columns and steps and walls remind me of the artwork in "Realms of the Haunting", but the general setting does not. Plus, RotH didn't look that good. Plus that arrow doesn't go with that game. So that's not it...

Civ 2, I think. I know it's Civ, but can't remember what 3's spaceship screen looked like.

Re: Name the Game from the Screenshot, Part 4
Doh. I didn't get far into that game. I really tried to like it but couldn't. A couple years ago they gave it and MC1 Gold away for free. I still have them both. I love the first one though. Its fun. I may dig MC2 out and give it another go perhaps.
Hey if anyone is interested I can dig them out and check the file sizes. If they aren't too large I could host them for download for anyone. I think its ok because they were given away free a few years back anyways right?
EDIT! nm..you can still get them free on the web..MC1 and MC2 and MC1 gold.
Can be found here enjoy.

I thought MC2 was a MUCH better game than MC1. It's one of the games that I always have installed.
Here's an easy one for the holiday.
