Ryan Reynolds responds to Betty White saying he can't get over her

They're both so silly. Betty will be 100!
The iconic actress responded in an interview with People, saying, "I've heard Ryan can't get over his thing for me, but Robert Redford is The One."

Reynolds responded with a tweet, joking: "I'm absolutely sick of the media exploiting past relationships just to drive clicks."

On January 17, the former Golden Girl will turn 100. Fans can celebrate with her in a special movie event called "Betty White: 100 Years Young -- A Birthday Celebration."

But I got the brilliant idea to clip a wire leading to the power supply, then solder it back together. It fired right up.

Neat thought: From 50,000 years ago until now today 108 billion people have lived and died. We gain about 83 million people a year on Earth. Thats births minus deaths

So my Delta flight for tomorrow morning just got randomly cancelled. I auto-rebooked on the next available flight through their app, before realizing it wouldn’t work.

Tried to call Delta to check options…hold time is currently 10 hours, 19 minutes.

Fuck it, I’ll book a cheap Southwest flight instead and battle Delta to get the FF miles back later.

You wouldn't think they'd stay in business with hold times like that, but then I never thought I'd work for a security company frequently calling customers a couple hours after their burglary alarms went off, either.

A lot of people just won't work on the holidays. The problem is they agreed to work in a 24/7 industry. But what can you do? Of most of the holidays I haven't worked in the past decade, I've spent most of my time preoccupied with the fear I would have to work because too many people called off.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

It isn't a matter of people taking time off randomly or even the airline being understaffed. Everything I've seen is that thousands of flights are being canceled (or have been cancelled over the past few days) as flight crews have caught Covid and can not fly.

I'm sitting on pins and needles as I have a flight on the 6th. Hopefully it will go off as planned!

About a month ago I had to use my cell phone for an emergency. (the only reason I have one)
A couple of days ago I had to call my stepson on it (His dog will attack me if I get within range of it). When I activated the phone I had spam messages on it. Doesn't take them bastards long does it?

I get the usual spam phone calls (e.g. Amy from the unspecified dealership is concerned about my car's extended warranty), but I think I've only had three or four spam texts in the five years I've had this number.

I’ve seen a sharp uptick in spam texts over the past year. I used to get 1-2 a week, now I get 3-4 a day.

My favorites are the ones where they just spam a block of 20 sequential phone numbers (I.e. 501-555-1111, 501-555-1112, etc) as a group text, which leads to at least 10 “Remove me from this list” replies to all.

I've been getting weird texts for the last year, all addressed to Georgia (not my name...) - all to the tune of "Georgia Here's 6k you applied for You don't have to pay this back" and a link. Different link every time, and from different phone number, so blocking the number doesn't help.

We bought new flip phones for our AT&T Prepaid service. Less than $30 each at Walmart, then took them to the local corporate AT&T store to move the prepaid accounts.

That and the fact that I've heard the spoofed numbers scammers use will actually end up having any return calls going to the actual number. Like Jztemple, Several years ago I got a new phone and number to use while in the US, as I don't do roaming, and within about an hour I had this random phone call, which I can only assume was someone trying to return a spam call because I'm not sure how they would have gotten it otherwise. To make matters more embarassing, I ended up buttcalling them back later on during the day.

just got this message this week:
THE NEXT PSRG EDUCATIONAL MEETING WILL BE THIS SATURDAY JANUARY 8th AT 1:30 PM ON ZOOM. The topic will be How the Amateurs Created Commercial Radio.
In this presentation, media historian and former broadcaster Donna Halper will introduce you to some of the men and women of amateur radio in the 1910s-1920s, many here in the northwest, and discuss the important work they did in both amateur and commercial broadcasting.
Meeting link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84187325059...
Meeting ID : 841 8732 5059 Passcode : 988961
Calling all RUSH fans...Halper is credited with discovering the rock band Rush while working as the Music Director at radio station WMMS in Cleveland in 1974. After a Canadian record producer gave her the then-unknown band's album, she played a track called “Working Man” on the air. Listeners started requesting more Rush tracks. Soon, other radio stations began including Rush songs in their playlists, and by late summer of 1974, the band got a U.S. recording contract. As an acknowledgement of her role in their success, the band dedicated their first two albums to Halper. 🙂

I know it's becoming a broken record, but you can choose to change that. The 'great' can continue if you want it to. You just have to accept that it will be a different great.
