As predicted... it was Starburns. Too bad.

But he will make a great ghost if they decide do keep him around. That would be cool.

Abed did a great job with the little Jerry Orbach smirks.

Finally got to see this last night. An excellent episode, I must say. The Dean continues to make me laugh almost as much as Abed and Troy.

Great news about the renewal, even if it's just half a season. I really liked last nights episode, especially toying with the idea that they've been in an asylum all this time. I started laughing nearly right from the start...

While I liked last night's episode, I REALLY like the setup it obviously was meant to be. We're going to see a big showdown with Chang and his horde soon. I hope it's going to be this season's paint ball episode...although to be fair, the civil war episode topped all other paint ball episodes in my book and could easily be seen as this season's version.

And kudos to the writers for still refusing to reuse clips in flashback scenes. Every one of last night's were new.

The asylum is a classic trope. I really enjoyed the asylum versions of previous scenes. Community should just go on forever with tvtropes.org as the blueprint.

What classic episode genres haven't we had yet? There's been a wedding, baby, bottle, Christmas, Halloween, character death. . .

That was the best show in the history of TV except for when Poochie returned to his planet.

Dear friends that watch Community.
I recently picked up the show this week and have watched the entire run.
What's awesome is some other network picked up Cougar Town, but the FIRST OF 3 F'n EPS tonight.
WTF!?!?!?!?!?!
This is what we've always talked about... And I'm not done yet with the 1st of 3...
Just had to post. I'm having one of those moments in life where it really doesn't get better whilst watching a TV.
Again, we've talked or not talked about this - but you know, shite or awesome, it's the best thing ever on network TV... Well since J.R. got shot...

All three episodes were solid, but if I had to choose a favorite I'm going with the video game episode. I laughed hard at Shirley's attempts to act as "the cleaner" at the blacksmith's house after Annie dispatched him. I also found Troy's love of jumping around in the game funny for some reason.

I also need an animated gif of the dean fainting when Jeff touches him in the Chang-centric episode. Good lord, is there a funnier supporting actor in a sitcom out there right now who's better than Jim Rash?

The video game episode was fantastic, I still have the other 2 on TiVO to catch up on.

Britta punching Pierce to death thinking she was pressing a "hug" button had me laughing out loud. I also thought it was great how Troy basically jumped everywhere.

Four seasons and a video game is pretty darn close to six seasons and a movie isn't it?

Harmon seems like he's difficult to work with, to be honest. I know Chevy Chase is as he has a history of being such, but the number of disgruntled admissions from Harmon's camp and himself on numerous topics paints a somewhat testy picture of the man. I love his work, but I wonder how much of his troubles he's brought on himself?

...but yeah, if he's gone and he's not involved in any way as that blog seems to indicate, the show's probably not going to work for me anymore. I'll give it a shot as they may pull something out of their collective behinds that surprises me, but I'm doubtful.

Dan Harmon's twitter doesn't make me feel very sympathetic for him anymore.

Perhaps the network execs had a bet over whether they'd have to fire Chevy Chase or Dan Harmon first.

This can't be good.
That makes me sad. Under Harmon, Community was constantly shooting for the moon -- no concept too high, no joke too meta. That kamikaze approach didn't always work, but when it did, the results were spectacular. Community isn't my favorite show of all time, but it has produced quite a few of the best sitcom episodes I've ever seen.

There was something off about this past Halloween. It took me awhile to realize it, but I think it was the lack of a Halloween episode on Community :(

So it now seems the show will be airing on October 19 2012, or someday...

Sadly, it seems this past week that Chevy Chase has walked off the show...

Wow. That is...wow. Not sure if I even want to watch after reading that. I guess Community, like many series' before it, can now be filed under: "Brilliant show, axed/ruined before its time"

Yeah, I'll still watch to the bitter end (if it comes to that), but the voice of Harmon was so closely integrated into the show...moreso than most...that his absence can't be anything but detrimental to the show.
