I love Abed's reaction at the end -- I'm the dungeon master, I don't owe you anything. LOL
I was in tears during the elvish song sequence.

That was really good. We knew the animation was coming, but the toy commercials put it over the top. I appreciated that they dealt with my favorite nitpick of the old cartoon... a dozen planes get shot down, a dozen parachutes come drifting down.

RIP Destro.

Agree. And I'm quite the fanboy. It wasn't guffaw inspiring, but I don't think it was supposed to be (because we know they can turn that on when they want to).

I don't know if it was the scotch "speaking", or what, but throughout that whole episode, I couldn't shake this gut wrenching guilt over having sold all my GI Joe stuff about 12 years ago, before we had any kids (a little foresight in those days wouldn't have KILLED me, yeesh). Also Star Wars.

Yeah, I'm an asshole. Sorry, lil' Carpet_pissr Jr...Daddy sold all his cool shit before you even got to see them! For a mere pittance!!

I don't get to see it, because the local affiliate preempted it for storm coverage. :grund:

You can watch it on the CBS website...commercial free, well except for the commercials that matter in this episode.

I totally loved the GI Joe episode, in a completely platonic way. D&D was not as good as the first, its true.

I did however watch the floor is lava episode several times before clearing the DVR.

Sorry guys, it's been cancelled:
The dream of six seasons and a movie is over: Numerous sources are reporting that NBC has canceled Community—four words that Community fans have dreaded hearing almost every day since the show’s first season, imagining what it would be like to read them, practicing saying them to see how they would feel in their mouth.

I would give better than even odds that Community will get picked up by either one of the streamers or a cable network. It has good enough numbers for both those outlets.

I missed Troy almost as much as I loved Annie's boobs and Abed's antics. Almost.

Troy indeed, was sorely missed. But the whole show? Fuck me. I LOVED that show.

I won't complain (unless they try to charge me to watch it).

OMG.
/faints

I put odds at them getting all the OG actors to return for this to be exactly...zero. :(

Hopefully it's not like the last season of Arrested Development, with a separate vignette of each character because they couldn't (or wouldn't) get them all together at one time. Considering how beloved AD was/is to me, that was painful (and Community is equally beloved).

Hopefully Glover comes back for at least a cameo.

I also hope they put the D&D episode back up when the series goes to Peacock’s library.
He won. Period.

Yeah, he's the one I am most worried about (also because he was my favorite character by far). I wouldn't expect Chase to be back for it considering he seemed to both hate and be hated by everyone he worked with on set (or I might be overstating that/misremembering what I read). That wouldn't kill me honestly.

Plus Chevy Chase's character, you know, died. It'd be great to work him into a flashback or something if everyone's open to it though, to be sure - could be fence-mending I suppose.

FWIW I saw a couple Joel McHale interviews talking about what happened, and he didn't seem especially mad or anything, but that as McHale described it Chase didn't really want to be there, and was taking it out on people and being difficult as a result.

So he was Alec Guinness on the set of OG Star Wars? LOL
