Considering that Paradox reportedly raised the price on Pillars of Eternity before the Steam sale so the percent off would not go so low (I didn't notice), you may want to
look here and get it cheap from Humble now.

Damn, I got F1 2016 a couple of months ago but decided to get a refund since I'm not really interested in racing games anymore... or so I thought. But I see it at 70% off and I ask myself, "Am I really,

I learned a long time ago that you have to adjust 'meta' scores based on what you like. If it is a setting you like, bump it 10. If it is a genre you like, bump it 10. If it uses mechanics you like, bump it 10. It goes the other way, too. It doesn't matter how good of a score the latest boxing game got, I'm not going to enjoy it because I don't enjoy boxing.

Interestingly for games I've found the Metacritic scores to be pretty consistently spot on for my tastes.
However for Rotten tomatoes, which uses a similar meta score mechanism for movies, I always add 10% for comedies since they tend to score lower than my tastes for some reason.

The hand drawn animation (and GORGEOUS art) reminds me a lot of Banner Saga. Not to mention the whole Norse connection.

Joke's on you, I purchased it during Winter 2017 sale and have already finished it
. It did take me like 3+ days to download it, so you're correct that the "Free to Play' weekends are lost on me. It's a fun game; visually awesome. Not earth shattering game play but if you're a FPS junkie it's likely worth a look at $15 depending on how your backlog looks.

I forgot to download it at all. *shrug* I'll probably buy it one day. I was all excited about Wolfenstein New Order, but hated it... so I am in no hurry. Open world experiences have spoiled me for rails shooters.

I was that way for a while, but I've reached a point that I can say the opposite. Too many open world games have given a desire to mix in games with a clear objective and a recognizable finish line. I love open world games, but tend to over-play the side activities and usually burn out long before I approach the end, then feel guilty if I walk away from it unfinished.
