I'm not sure what the hell causes the double posts, it happened since we moved to OVH. Lots of people have the problem with PHPBB3 apparently, but there's not a lot of solutions out there. Someone made an anti-doublepost mod, but when I tried to install it -- it was a fucking nightmare, never did get it to install correctly.

Faster server, better throughput and ping times, yet double posts when you hit the back button after posting (That's what does it BTW).

I get double posts via Tapatalk when posting over wifi. It churns, I get a time-out message, refresh the thread, and viola, I have two posts. I then proceed to delete one of them.

Well I just tried to upgrade Tapatalk as some people indicated this helped.. Lo and behold it broke the f'ing forum. Tapatalk taken offline until I have a chance to figure out where the PHP errors are generated from.

I can confirm this behavior in the prosilver template.

Are you on the latest client for your phone? Also does tapatalk throw an error? If so what is it.

iOS Tapatalk version 2.3.3. I'm pretty good about keeping my apps updated.

I get a spinny circle for a while, then a message that the post timed out or some such.

Interesting.. I'd like to know the exact wording if possible.

Made some DB changes in the mysqld config file that may help; but the logfile really didn't have anything worth noting. Just acting on some stuff from the phpmyadmin advisor, not sure if that's worth a shit or not.

Ok it seems tapatalk is royally borked. I'll take a look at it again, but this app is grating on me. Their support and business ethics are shit.

Heh. I just deleted two of my triple post made from Tapatalk. Same issue.

[edit] - I don't seem to have to issue from the mobile service . . . of course, I can only post one time out of twenty from mobile, because every damn IP is blacklisted.

I'm having the same issue. It's annoying, but I suppose I could always right click, "open in new tab".

Middle button or mouse wheel click might also work for you.

Ctrl-click absolutely will.

Yeah, Tapatalk is great for reading. Not so much for posting, especially when on the cell networks

Has anyone used Forum Runner before? I'm considering turfing Tapatalk, they are a bunch of assholes that ignore support issues (unless it affects their monetization then they are all over it). I will take one more kick at the can on fixing it, and if that doesn't work I'm going to remove support for it as it's effectively broken now as it is.
