A political answer would be, "I'm not aware of anyone else running and when or if that happens I can comment on it then."

Then a smoke-bomb and he runs out of the room. I understand someone has officially announced in AZ as a challenger; why they didn't ask using his name I'm not sure.

Suggesting she's "excellent" or that she's done a lot of good things? I mean, really.

She's still caucusing with the Ds for now. It doesn't make any sense for him to do anything other than ensure she stays that way, even if that means he gives her hollow praise.

Sure, but you get why... I mean - he's trying to play nice with someone that derails their efforts... It's transparent: he doesn't want to look like he's trying to get her booted... The reply you suggested could easily be read as an invitation for someone to challenge her.

Unfortunately this sort of behavior has been rewarded for a long time and it has become embedded. She raises money and her profile this way. Others of low character like her will inevitably follow.

On another note, I give that guy credit for his patience during testimony yesterday. Musk and MTG and others have put his life in danger. I don't know if I'd be so patient with this fuckwit yelling at me.
