Edit: It cut off the bottom part of the picture :( It's a picture of Number 10 with "Sponsored by airbnb" & "Perfect for short stays" on it.

Man, what is going on with Lara Logan? I know she’s been getting more and more radical, but when Newsmax bans you for being too weird, you need to seek psychiatric help.

Going down the rabbit hole on Lara, I came across another theory she has spouted in the past. Apparently the Rothschilds family paid Charles Darwin to come up with the theory of evolution.

I remember a time when she was actually respected.

Of course, even if it was entirely true it wouldn’t matter at all.

That would be the same as arguing that someone sponsored Newton’s Theory of Gravity.

Ahh, Newton. EPIC asshole (if not downright sociopath, and evil AF garbage human), but easily top 3 "Great Scientists of Humanity" at the same time.

Newton was so smart he died a virgin. Too bad he didn't live long enough to hear Kant's views on masturbation.

People think we're exaggerating or being dramatic when we reference the Handmaid's Tale, but Lauren Boebert is out here referring to Women as the "lesser vessel" so PAY ATTENTION.
Here in NJ we have a House seat that's up for grabs and it's pretty much being summarized by that cartoon above (in terms of the messaging coming from each candidate). I want to believe the Democrat will win, but I can't help but feel that for many the abortion issue is theoretical while the current gas/food price issue is real and immediate - so it'll motivate voters more.

Lots of Evangelical women believe that women have a special, God-given and inherent social and familial role that men can't fill. They'll vote for candidates who endorse that worldview because it elevates them to a position of distinct significance (even while paradoxically making them second-class citizens).

And, of course, Aunts have higher status than Handmaids.

Many white middle/upper class women. They can always fly themselves or their daughters to California for an abortion but they can't bear the thought of cultural "replacement" or brownish grandkids.

This right here. Describes the majority of the conservative Mormon women in Utah. They don't like lots of the GOP's policies and claim to really dislike Trump, but what are they supposed to do...vote for a Democrat?

I have to say, if people asked for East Coast states, I'd name PA and point to the Delaware River exposure.

That's so weird to someone from the area. It's famously part of the steel belt. I get it to some extent but no one here thinks it's a coastal state. People from Philly or PA go to the Jersey shore or Delaware beaches. If they are in the western part of the state they go to the lakes (or Lake Erie). The river empties into a huge bay (and that is where a ton of heavy industry is too) which isn't the ocean. It's not a thing here and Oz has lived here a good part of his life and should know that. :)

I mean, the bay empties into the ocean, so it's really semantics. If someone says "Name East Coast states", I bet PA gets included more often than not.

I'm sure you could find a few folks here even who think that way (despite Delaware Bay or any coast not touching PA anywhere) but I think for a good majority of folks *here* - which is my point - it's just another thing that rings off about his PA-ness. :)

On the other hand, PA is definitely a "mid-Atlantic" state, which sort of connotes ocean adjacency.

I wish I could add this to the list of idiot things Oz has said, but it doesn’t ring true to me. I grew up in Bucks County PA and went to college in the Philly metro area. I’ve always considered PA to be an East Coast state.
