Eh, I would need more evidence than that to conclude that it was a Russian troll farm. Could just be that at that time some popular Republican website (or maybe a campaign email) encouraged people to post that quote.
(But yeah, a Russian farm could be plausible as well).

I don't know twitter, but assuming the guy does, I think he makes it pretty clear that even if it were a copy and paste job, all the tweets had the same time stamp. Even if it were simply a button press that hundreds of people pressed at the exact same second at 2am in Texas, there are other telltale signs that refute this.
What is especially heinous is how far they will go to defend these tweets. They are almost certainly foreign generated. They are completely illegal. And Cruz is completely innocent (probably) in making them happen.
Just admit that you have no idea why that happened, and if it turns out to be Russian bots, that's a problem, but in the meantime you're going to enjoy the hundreds of shows of support.
It's almost like they aren't decent, honest people. Almost.

Maybe it looks fake because it's so awkward for someone to look right at the camera, then scratch their head, then flash an OK/WP sign at the aforementioned camera. If it makes you feel more confident that it really happened, everyone that was watching the MSNBC interview saw the same thing.

We should try to make thrusting your hips forward repeatedly while flapping your arms up and down into a white power thing. That way way I can go back to telling everyone that I’m OK without worrying about a social gaffe if I use hand gestures.
...of course that would mean I would have to stop doing that when I’m trying to let people know I’m ready for seconds at dinner.
