bb2112 (night 1 murder)
RMC (evil)
stessier (evil)

With 7 players eligible that makes the majority at 4 votes?

Curious that Scoop managed to avoid voting for either RMC or stessier. He had an initial vote on RMC, but removed it when the train got rolling. Then he avoided scooping stessier.

 Scoop

Friggin Grund keeps getting in the way but I wasn't even sure what the stessier vote was about. I'd be suspicious of Grund except the concept of scooping both your team mates seems to defy logic. Evil is taking it on the ass this game. Can we make this a clean sweep?

Moliere - claims Maid Marian (uncontested)
Chaosraven - ?
bb2112 - dead unknown
RMC - dead baddie
Vorret - ?
stessier - dead baddie
El Guapo - ?
Grundbegriff - ?
RevHempus71 - Robin of Locksley (locked up)
Remus West - ?
Scoop20906 - ?

I'll go out on a limb and say that both RMC and stessier were some combination of guy and morgana. That leaves only the sheriff since he locked up Rev last night. That leaves a pool of 6 unknowns and if we drop Grund to the bottom only 5.

If the knife passes to him, he can. Of course, an arrest takes the place of a kill. It represents a slight order deviation from the protect/kill/scan order.

So, will could have been converted last night. No, he can't because of the arrest. But will could be already converted or converted tomorrow night. Ok, so we could have two baddies in a pool of 6. Thats better odds.

Moliere == claims Marian. Uncontested.
Chaosraven
bb2112 - Night 1 murder (Possibly Marian)
RMC - Day 1 Lynch (Not Sheriff; not Will)
Vorret
stessier - Day 2 Lynch (Not Sheriff; could be any of {Mortianna, Guy, Will}
El Guapo
Grundbegriff
RevHempus71 == Robin.
Remus West
Scoop20906

Let's see....

Robin: alignment scanner by night (+role if target is evil)
Azeem: guardian by night (nonconsecutive). Scans for Mortianna.
Will: potential turncoast (if scanned by Sheriff)
Maid Marian: it's complicated

Sheriff: scans for Robin, Marian, or Will by night
Mortianna: scans for Robin by night.
Guy: Assassin by night. (understudies: Sheriff, Will if evil)

There are three possible night events: Sheriff scans (converting Will or arresting Robin|Marian); Mortianna scans; Evil kills (unless Mortianna's the only evil).

Day 1: Right out of the gate, we killed RMC. Since an arrest happened after his death, RMC wasn't the Sheriff. He was Mortianna or Guy.
Night 1: Will may have been converted on this night. bb2112 was murdered by night, since either Guy or the Sheriff or WIll was around to do it.
Day 2: We eliminate stessier. Since an arrest happened after his death, stessier also wasn't the Sheriff; he was either the last remaining member of the set {Mortianna, Guy} or he was converted Will.

Who's still alive on team evil?
Definitely: Sheriff.
Possibly, but not certainly: exactly one of {Mortianna, Guy, Will}

What are the possible states of Will at this moment?
( a ) dead as bb2112? (If the kill doesn't follow the scan.)
( b ) alive and unconverted (which would mean there's only one evil at the moment: the Sheriff
( c ) alive and converted (which would mean that team evil now consists of the Sheriff and Will
( d ) dead and converted (which would mean that stessier was Will and team evil now consists of the Sheriff and exactly one lackey from {Mortianna, Guy}.

Rules clarification
Isgrimnur wrote:
Isgrimnur wrote:Maid Marian

Scan target for Robin and the Sheriff. If Robin scans her, their roles are revealed to each other. The identity (not role) of one evil player is divulged to both.
Rules correction. Note the evil identification does not specify living/dead status. The entire evil team will be available for targeting. If dead, the couple will be given the role, if living, they will only get the team assignment.
Further clarification:
Isgrimnur wrote: If Marian or Robin identify the evil player in a definitive statement, the guards descend on the town, seize and summarily execute one non-evil player. If she is arrested and her role becomes known in that method, neither the reveal to Robin nor the scan for Team Evil will occur.
Identification of a dead player's role will not trigger the arrest.

So I can safely identify stessier's role without being arrested or having someone executed. If so, is there an advantage or disadvantage to doing so? Team Evil is going to get their scan on me either way.

Knowing whether stessier was Will has value; it'll tell us whether there's still a Will.

I don't know whether it was possible for bb2112 to be WIll, because I'm not sure of the sequence of events at night.

I thought the arrest of Maid Marian meant that she couldn't post in the thread. Are you breaking that rule or have you just poked the Marian?

Oh, wait. It was Robin who was arrested. Nevermind.

Interesting.

Night 2: The Sheriff scans RevHempus of Locksley, arresting him. The Sheriff attacks..

Isgrimnur: Does a successful scan/arrest mean that there is no kill attempt?

Who's still alive on team evil?
Definitely: Sheriff.
Possibly, but not certainly, Will

Any name usage was purely coincidental. I spent about 10 minutes during various image searches for Guy and changing the name around in my announcement before deciding on the one used. Clearly, I have too much time today.

Ok, folks. Let's stir the pot even more. I'm Azeem.

On night #1, I protected Scoop because my protection is also a scan for Mortianna and he seemed a bit Mortianniacal.
On night #2, having just nailed baddie #2, I protected myself. This is why there was no death last night.

Since I have to move my protection around, I cannot protect myself tonight. I do not want the Sheriff to kill me and then claim to be Azeem. Since we now know that Mortianna was RMC and is dead, my rationale for scanning is gone; I'm just a guardian. And the risk of my staying hidden and enabling an emulator outweighs the benefit of rolling the dice on my continued ability to serve in that capacity. The Sheriff knows I blocked him, so he also knows I'm unprotected tonight.

So we are looking for Sheriff among:

Chaosraven - ?
Remus West - ?
Scoop20906 - ?
Vorret - ?
El Guapo - ?

Assuming Sheriff would be looking for Will amongst the above

We have 2 chances to free RevH by finding the Sheriff (assuming Sheriff finds Will rather than simply losing with no remaining partners)

Ah. Here's the basis. Yeah, that's not bad. I was thinking he was kinda hinky, too, which is why he was my Mortiscanna.

Whoever the Sheriff is, he's someone who ( a ) figured I was becoming "trusted" and decided to off me rather than cast suspicion on me, and ( b ) gambled that Azeem wouldn't protect me, and ( c ) didn't figure on my self-protection.

Could be someone else, but it's not implausible that it's...

I don't really have any better ideas than Scoop but maybe take a look at who Grund was examining. They would have motivation to attack him given that pressure and his two kill votes making him look good.

These are two separate issues:

At night there's a scan attempt.
At night there's a kill attempt.

Azeem's protection can interfere with either, per the green.
Evil's success in the former doesn't prevent the latter from unfolding, per the fuchsia.

I screwed up my own the rules. An arrest is tied to a scan, not a kill. Execution of the arrested party takes the place of a night kill.

As such, Azeem's protection should not protect against an arrest.

I apologize for the confusion.

So, then... you?
You were after me? I hadn't realized that.

I haven't read back to look yet. Anyone else you were targeting in thread?
Heh, yeah, I was just looking back through the thread. Other than scooping both lynches, Grund's main interest day 1 was you.

He's obviously guilty, just look at him!
So...Vorret was on neither lynch, has been very quiet the first couple days, and did this shortly after RMC claimed special.

Scoop's also a reasonable choice, but on limited information I would suggest

 Vorret

In addition, I have it on good authority that he's Hitler.

Day 2?
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” - H.L. Mencken

There isn't much from day 2 (which was very short). Scoop pushes Grund as a lynch, then you start the Moliere train. Grund doesn't post much until Moliere claims Marian (initially via hints), then Grund posts some analysis on that (not targeted toward lynching anyone). Then I re-suggest stessier, and everyone's like "why yes, we should listen to that handsome sophisticated gentleman over there." Then Grund scoops stessier.

So, not much to go on in terms of Grund's targets.
