Though there were hints at it via sports radio and such; i am still  . Hate the contract though, that's a huge amount of salary taken up by Bron. Should make for an interesting offseason though for the Lakers.

Now if we could only trade Lonzo for Kawhi, we'd be 8-)
It is a lot but less than what CP3 got........

That's because Paul could sign with the Rockets for more money than James could sign with a team that wasn't Cleveland. Are you not aware of NBA max contract rules?

Of course, but that doesn't change the fact that CP3 is getting paid more salary than Bron. That said Bron makes up for it in endorsement money and such. The important thing is Houston takes more of a cap hit for CP3 than LA takes for Lebron, by a tiny amount.

If nothing else, it will be fun to watch Lonzo feeding the ball to LA-Bron. And WTF, Lance Stephenson is a Laker?

how can lonzo feed the ball to Bron when he's been traded in the Kawhi deal!!! (no he hasn't been traded yet, but one can hope..get rid of the lavar sideshow!).

And I actually like Lance as a Laker. Just think of the defense the lakers have now in stephenson, KCP and Bron. And Ingram who's been a lot better. They match up defensively nicely against the big 3 of the warriors. Now if the Lakers get Boogie Cousins. Wowzers!

Well the Lakers added Rondo today and renounced right to Randle.

Certainly going to be a different team this year.

Fuk, Rondo is the worst, in all aspects.

Demarcus Cousins signs with the Warriors. This is just ridiculous.

It makes a lot of sense, right? Cousins is coming off a bad injury, so it sounds like not a lot of teams were willing to throw a long-term deal his way. If he expects to fully recover, this lets Cousins show himself off on a big stage, in anticipation of getting a long-term deal next offseason.

Although from a lot of the reactions, it seems like there's a lot of variance in people's expectations about how good he'll be next year.

I don't have an issue with them signing him. It is just pathetic watching people sign ridiculously undermarket contract to ride other people's coattails for a ring. Just David West 2.0

Kinda pathetic really.

Is this undermarket, though? Seems like signing Cousins to a big money contract would be fairly risky at this point given his injury. Seems entirely possible that Cousins was not getting the offers he was hoping for, and a short-term deal was his best chance at restoring his long-term value.

This is what is being reported. There was no market for him. There are only 7 teams with salary cap room to start with, so it was likely he was signing something cheap. At that point he limited it to Warriors and Celtics and we ended up here.

Soft market is one thing, but he will be making the same as Dwight Howard. That is just crazy.

Also he turned down a 2YR $40M offer from the Pels AFTER the injury.

The Bill Simmon's podcast #401 did a 90 minute sit down with Steph Curry. It was very entertaining and informative. Steph was pretty open and seemed to be having a pretty good time. I recommend it.
