No, it's Magnetic to you. It's primer gray to me.

As of a few years ago, 90% of new American cars were black, white, or gray/silver. Those aren't even colors. Red had 5%, blue 3%, and everything else brought up the last 2%. Since then blue has surged to tie with red. If you care about resale value, though, you stick with black, white, and gray.

The cars I've owned were: tan, sky blue, brown, green, orange, sky blue, red, and red. I'm partial to colors.

I absolutely love gun metal grey on just about any vehicle for some reason.

Yes, I had a 2006 Honda Civic and I have no recollection of the color. That's how cool it was! I would have gotten a color on the Tesla (initially went for blue) but they charge more for actual colors!

I didn't realize the numbers were that skewed. My wife's car is red, every other car I've owned has been a shade. My new car, however, is blue. My son has decided it will be named "Thomas."

I think I paid a couple hundred bucks extra for red. I still would have appreciated more options.

My orange Escort was actually "bright bittersweet". It was the sportiest econobox one could buy (sunroof, baby!). The early 80s was not a good era for cars. Wife called it The Pumpkin.

My orange car was a 74 AMC Gremlin with the optional 304. It was easily the most dangerous car I ever drove. No, not the fastest, just the most likely to get me killed.

It depends on the car - my favorite combo is the classic dark green over tan or brown (and I love the Bullitt Mustangs), but our last couple have been colors. Right now we have red (Hers), white (ours), and yellow(mine) in the garage. I just refer to them as ketchup, mustard, or mayo, and they look sort of funny together.

I'm definitely a member of the gunmetal grey fan club too, though.

I had to ask the wife, she said the civic was a dark red. I google image searched it and... yeah I really don't remember.

I really loved the dark highland green of the Bullitt, but it wasn't available with the adaptive cruise control and given the driving I do I really wanted that. It also wasn't on the xplan pricing.

Always been partial to white cars or red cars. Out old TA was Arctic White. We wanted a white Mustang but fell in love with a silver one.

Toyota FRS in British Racing Green with I believe, a tan or leather interior. I don't even care much for the car, but that color combination is magical. My current vehicle colors are gray, tan/brown, and blue. I have owned one silver, one black, and zero white vehicles. I want some color.

Not having to ever wash dark silver cars is a side benefit, bronze is even better for that. LOL

Jeep Gladiator

Right now, there are some Jeep dealers already making a killing on Wranglers who are out for Walking Dead slaughter with the 2020 Gladiator. Average transaction prices hovered around $56,400 in May, according to Cox Automotive, for a vehicle that's fully loaded at just over $62,000. Wonder if anyone is overpaying?

As of Wednesday, of roughly 3600 Gladiator pickups in U.S. dealer inventory listed on Cars.com, 60 percent are the top two Rubicon and Overland trims that max out with MSRPs of roughly $57,000 and $62.000, respectively. That makes sense. Then there are dealers piling on Mopar lift kits and custom wheel and tire combos, like a Gladiator in Gastonia, North Carolina, on 22-inch Asantis or another Gladiator in Gainesville, Georgia, with Nitto Mud Grapplers. As with any Wrangler, high customer demand and even higher resale values mean there is little to zero price negotiation.

But alongside the fair sticker prices are heaps of absurd Gladiator listings. You'll find Rubicons listed above $80,000, bare-bones Sport S trims on skimpy tires for $70,000, and base Sport trims in the $50,000s—many of which have no apparent mods at all. Right now, markups of a few thousand dollars, $10,000, and even upward of $20,000 are common. This, on a 2020-model-year vehicle with visible hinges, no curtain airbags, and an assembly quality dating back to the American Motors era.

My uncle who I lived next door to growing up had a late 70s or early 80s model Jeep pickup in a 2 tone copper color. I always thought it was so strange ..a Jeep...pickup.

Jeeps are a whole mess of fun, even on the street. Pop off the doors and the roof on a nice day, and you're golden. I wouldn't go for the truck though - an OG 2 door Wrangler is where it's at.

I like the Wrangler, hypothetically. If we ever retire to the Berkshires it will be high on my list. They don't get great marks for city driving, though. Noisy, uncomfortable, lousy gas mileage, weak on tech amenities, and converting between open and closed is not a quick operation. I've read that they're one of the best off-road vehicles, but not a great choice if you never go off-road.

Pretty easy really. Once you are done driving over stuff you have a vehicle that rates low on pretty much every metric other than driving over stuff (and resale value -- possibly because they never get any better so the old ones are just as good as the new ones).

They're really not a bad ride though, and the newest model is improved from the last. I rented one a few weeks back and was pretty impressed. It was as decent an on-road commuter as any other truck-SUV AND the top and doors come off.

Noisy - The newest models are fine at highway speeds.

Uncomfortable - Again, since 2012 the Wrangler has used the same seats as the Grand Cherokee, more or less. Plenty of leg room, and a nice upright seating position.

Lousy gas mileage - This is true

Weak on Tech - The newest FCA system is one of my favorite car/driver electronic interfaces. I like it better than BMW's and Mercedes' current setups, It's definitely better than Porsche's last-gen stuff etc.

Open and closed time - yeah - it's kind of a giant PITA. Nothing beats an MX5 for that for sure.
