You of all people shouldn't pay attention to what other people say.
I'm watching No Sudden Move on HBO Max right now. Nothing like a good Steven Soderbergh crime drama with an A list cast to wash the taste of a bad film from your mouth.
In other news, Starship Troopers for dummies is the best one line review I've seen so far.Jeff V wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:01 pm So for part 2 of the double-bill, I put on Call Girl of Cthulu. What a stunning piece of cinematic awesomeness. I bet this would have won an oscar if any of the women had been at least a little attractive. The old gods would have wasted them regardless though.

Re: Amazon Prime TV/Movies
You don't hire an actor of Wahlberg's talent just to hide him in a trash bin. You hire him to BE the trash bin.
Then after 17 hours of reshoots in which you have to constantly remind him a trash bin wouldn't yell "Say hi to your mother for me!" to every passersby, you admit it was a stupid idea and you just call Rubbermaid.

I watched maybe the first half-hour of this movie the other night, and honestly haven't motivated myself to even hate watch the remainder. This thread didn't change my mind there.

Neil posted on his journal that the story is based on ideas he and Pratchett came up with together - a proposed sequel that they just never got the time to write.Biyobi wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 4:40 pm I saw via Neil Gaiman's tweet this week that they announced a second series for Good Omens. It obviously won't have Pratchett's direct input anymore, but I have faith that Gaiman will put together a worthy sequel in the same spirit. After watching this as well as the two series of Staged on Hulu I will watch David Tennant and Michael Sheen together in anything.
I'm skeptical that it needs a sequel but since Good Omens is among my favorite books I'll definitely watch.

Gaiman is hit-or-miss for me (but I absolutely love it when he reads his audiobooks). Good Omens was more hit than miss, but I never followed through on the series, aborting a few episodes in.

I have one question about The Tomorrow War.
What did J. K. Simmons character do for a living? Was he a mercenary? A smuggler? A gun runner? An assassin? A technology-based supervillain? A rogue Liam Neeson?

Didn't he say he worked on airplanes for somebody? He also had a side business removing draftee armbands.
That still doesn't explain how he has the ability to make secret flights to Russia. How did he and the team get dropped off? Did the plane land? If so, where? How did they have the ATVs there? How were they getting back?

I stated it was to prevent being snatched by a pterodactyl.
