I have to say I like the PM feature

Post by LordMortis »

I have used it exactly 4 times for personal message, combined for out and in, but I really like it. It gives me a chance to be either be a total jerk or really side track a conversation without having to publicly do either one.

I like it, as well. Makes 'taking it to email' just about as easy as can be.

Yes. I may never have to actually phone a family member again! :D

So, MHS, I see your avatar is pretty much what I suggested, with a few small differences:

Sort of Nappy. I just figured it was time to let the world know that I'm really a short, rigid, plastic girl with a very large hole in my bottom.

Quickie:

The "email through board" feature is nice as well, but we're considering hacking it so that actual email addresses can be displayed (undecided there). But you can email someone without having their address revealed (yours is, however).

It also isn't for sure, but it's possible we will have a PM harassment policy until phpBB 2.2.0 comes out. It isn't something we can actively police, but if we did it it might be something like "if someone is harassing you via PM, turn over evidence to forum staff" or something.

I'm also a big fan of PMs - a great way to touch base with certain people who hang out here and never respond to Email :)

Thank you for making me laugh at one in the morning. :D

And if we're all getting on the Avatar train, I may just have to dig up and resize that Asharak the Murgo illustration I've got somewhere.

EDIT> Dug up. Now if I can just get my tag back and a slightly better colour scheme, I will officially consider this board more aesthetically pleasing than GG. ;)

Why do I get the feeling that was directed at me? I think I always reply to my emails. Should I feel bad? If I missed one/many. I appologize, you might have been swept away the spam, but I don't think so. I might have to see if wowway set up filters without telling me or something.

Wow, I'm surprised that took that long.

Can we give him a "Cptn. Obvious" tag? ;)
