Yeah, I feel pretty confident now that every single BLG project is DOA. The only question that remains for me quite frankly is what will happen with the thousands of copies of the boxed miniatures that QML has been mothballing for (checks calendar) almost a year.

What's hilarious is how much things have changed since I backed the Fantasy Series 1 miniatures. Above and beyond access to a resin 3D printer whenever I ask, I probably have more miniatures now than ever before. And I'm actively transitioning to standees and Skinny Minis where I can to try to get out from under the mountain of gray plastic. Wish I could go back in time and tell myself to relax on the miniatures - better days ahead. :D

Update from QML on Blacklist Games Fantasy Series 1:
Thank you for your patience during our discussion with Blacklist about the best solution for the Fantasy Series 1 fulfillment. We’re happy to say that we’ve worked out a solution that will allow backers to pay Quartermaster Logistics directly through PledgeManager to have your pledge shipped to you. We feel that this solution will serve all parties the best to get as many pledges as possible into backers hands. We’re still working out the final details on how exactly this process will work, so we ask that you hold your questions until then. We’ll be posting those details here and on our social media platforms when they’ve been finished. Thanks again!

– Quartermaster Logistics Management Team
I guess a year after holding the KS in storage for BLG with no end in sight, there's finally a potential solution. Glad the money is going directly to QML and not whatever remains of BLG (I think it's just one dude at this point).

That whole thing is ridiculous. I can't even imagine the legal shenanigans involved.

Meanwhile, I got notice that two of my KS are out from CSI on the same day unexpectedly.

The first is The Live: Assault on Cable 54. I'm very much looking forward to it even if it is just for kitsch value. Backed on 4/27/20. Originally expected 12/2020.

The second is The Castles of Mad King Ludwig Collector's Edition. Backed 1/25/2021. Originally expected 12/2021.

First off: how am I just now learning there’s a game based on They Live?? I gotta look into that. Please post some impressions after you get it/have had time to play it.

Next, there’s an update on the new Street Masters stuff and Dire Alliance from BLG:
Hi Everyone, not a full on update, but just some news. It’s taken a lot longer for preparation with Easyship than expected, but the good news is that this week we’ll have a schedule that I can post in the updates for the pre-order games (Buddy Cop, Mega Man, and Contra) that will be airshipped from Hong Kong, as well as know what the estimated boat schedule will be for Dire Alliance and Street Masters (which will share containers and be on the same boat).
So, at least there’s SOME movement. Although I’ll only believe it once I get a shipping notice.

Unless BLG is incorporating new companies for each kickstarter separately I agree with Maury. I feel like QML would like to chat with them about any available funds they have at present.

I mean, it's been 6 weeks since they've had it, so I'd hope so. :D

That's great news. Looking forward to figuring out how to deal with my decision to go all in; I'm already out of room.

I'm still waiting on Hexplorit: Totally Not Stradh or Ravenloft (DoMN). No word, but Funagain seems to slowly be getting these out. The next few months are going to be PACKED for QML and Funagain - I have Starsworn (solo RPG books), ISS Vanguard Wave 1, Obsession Reprint, Everdell (possibly), and a few others on their way.

My copy did arrive last week and I think I'm going to unload it - you're making me feel bad. :?

It's marvelous - components are great, artwork is A+, overall presentation and feel seems like they really polished the system and made it a better experience. I'm just out of room and if I'm forced to choose between Castlevania theme and the woodland/forest theme from the second title? Well, that's what wins.

And yeah, I have quite a few crowdfunded games allegedly coming in the next ~3 months and I'm now thinking they're going to be sitting at distributions hubs for longer than the developers planned on. Such is the nature of things now, I suppose.

Me, being a man of distinction moron, Kickstarted Forest of Adrimon and got VotLK as well. Never once played them. Sold them. Then, got all into the theme of DoMN and backed it. Got itchy. Bought SoS retail. Playing SoS and enjoying it (although I have had to learn to house rule a few things since there are so many edge cases that the rules don't cover). Got more itchy, added FoA into my DoMN order.

So that is my idiotic move. This is the second time I have rebought games I sold off (the last one being Xia: Legends of a Drift System).

:D

I completely empathize. I think I have about half a dozen games I've sold and then repurchased. Tastes change - at least, mine have. I think what happened was I was really into the idea of the game book they made for the original game (Klik's Madness) and I ended up getting roped into this newest version because of all the improvements and tweaks they made to the system (along with cheaper price). I acquired the updated encounter deck for FoA, but I probably should have just picked that up as an add on and called it a day. The box for Mirza Noctis is much bigger (thicker) than FoA, which I wasn't expecting. Anyway, I think I want them to figure out what works and what doesn't for the campaign book and then I'll get the second one and call it a day. Apparently there are two more titles coming in the series so it should be around for a while...

Collectible miniatures are fun, but this KS uses Play-Doh Spell Clay

It reminds me so much of Clay-O-Rama I might not be able to resist. Also, I'm still mentally 13.

It even has a website: The Mountains of Godai

Also, my daughter like the Necromolds game (easy for a 6 year old to just sort of "mess" with wargaming). I will probably pick up the expansions!

As expected, I upgraded my BURNCYCLE pledge to the All Gameplay tier. For another $70, what the hell. I either spend it now and save some money, or wind up buying it later for more and paying a second shipping fee.

Also finalized my HALLS OF HEGRA pledge.

CMON just launched their miniature heavy Dune game.

Shipping estimate starts at 48 to 58 bucks for US backers without add ons. That seems a bit high...and that sentiment seems to be shared by quite a few folks in the comments section.

I'm definitely avoiding all things CMON after the surprise the Marvel Zombicide backers got when shipping was charged.

I've been avoiding all things CMON simply because I don't like their business model of offering 100% of the game to KS backers and 25% of the game to retail buyers. I'm all for KS backers getting perks and rewards for backing, but come on, CMON. :D

That doesn't really bother me that much as there should be a reward for backing a game via Kickstarter. Especially if they offer those rewards again in future kickstarters (like some companies do). However, CMON stopped being a small company trying to get the funds to publish a game and became a juggernaut using kickstarter as a preorder system ages ago. That bothers me more.

(goes to check tracking number)

So my shipment is still scheduled for Thursday. However, it says it's in transit to a location in VA which is definitely nowhere near the town in MA where FedEx has a distribution hub. So I'm thinking sometime tonight my tracking info is going to change. Hoping it's only changing to Friday so I can unpack it and take pics of me fondling the new tiles for Hepcat... :P

p.s. just checked on a lark and now it's BACK to arriving Friday. I suspect that someone at FedEx hates me and is just issuing updates by the hour to mess with me. Next I'll be notified my game is in Czechoslovakia awaiting a government release or something.

I understand the cost, but I'm in (even if it means this is only heavy tabletop game I order this year).

The game appears to share some DNA with War of the Ring, which is probably the TT game my oldest son and I enjoy most. Now that he's also into Dune (via the movie and some of the novels), this is a no-brainer for us.

They've already achieved 9 meaningful (and Kickstarter-only) stretch goals, and this is still the first day.

If it is something you believe you’ll love and that you’ll play with family and friends, then cost is secondary. However, I would advise you to read the rules, which are available on the Kickstarter page. Best to go in knowing what you’re getting.

While I’m a huge Dune fan, I still find CMON’s current actions distasteful. If I get this, it will be retail. I know I’ll be missing all the rewards, but I’ll probably also be saving a hundred bucks or so.

P.S. I did back the Wild West version of Zombicide a while back, but that was before they pulled that crap with Marvel Zombicide. My worry with anything they run on Kickstarter now is that they’ll double the cost of shipping when the time comes …or go even higher….without any real explanation as to why.

Since I have the recent edition of the core and Resistance expansion I didn’t spring for the upgrade packs. But I did spend a little extra for the Secret Weapons expansion to complete the collection and the new tiles because I thought the art looked really good. I’m looking forward to trying out “lone wolf” mode in the Ghost expansion which was based on a bad assed Canadian soldier, Leo Major.

I like the idea of a campaign mode, myself. I love this game solo…but it’s even better with others as you all guffaw at the ridiculous events that occur when your best laid plans go to shit after someone accidentally triggers an alarm.

By the way, the upgrade packs have the new player aids, but you can just download them from the Triton site and print them.

I got my copy of Hexplorit: Domain of Almost Copyright Infringement Mizra Noctis and I have to say that the improvements to the previous games is NOTABLE. The rule book is a lot better than Sands of Shurax, with a bit more in the way of visual examples and clarity. One of the biggest improvements is the addition of art to the monster encounter cards - which not only spices up the experience, it also encouraged them to move the damage numbers into the attack text - which provides a lot more clarity. I was always confused when looking at monster encounters if the attack was a health or energy attack, and now it is explicitly stated. The art in DoMN is also excellent (albeit all the female models have a clothing problem, even the undead ones). I like SoS, but the theme here is very appealing to me.

I also got the Hero Chest add on, to store all of the roles, race, and aspect cards. This makes playing with the absolute massive amounts of combinations much easier, so that is cool. I have all of the games except the first one (which just did not appeal to me visually), so that means I have a lot of possible role and race combos.

Once I finish up my SoS game in progress, I am not sure if I am going to hit DoMN, Dungeons Universalis, or Xia. I think I might rotate in Xia, since that is a quicker game, then likely DUN.

V-Sabotage just arrived. It's hilarious how slim the core box is along with the expansions. The boxes that hold the miniatures are easily 2x+ the size - really reinforced for me how much they physically add to a game's core box.

I have quite a bit to go through; going to be a great weekend.
