Turns out we are already friends on the Ubi service.

If you are around on Sunday night, we'll shoot you an invite. We'll need the extra bodies anyway since BadDemo and Bob won't be there.

They actually might be useful in co-op mode.

Both look good, which is nice after the coop uselessness that was the last update. I should have enough renown for one of them by the time they unlock.

Last I heard, we're killing rats.

Everyone might want to fire it up. They've added a mandatory tutorial that takes 10-15 minutes before you can get in-game.

Forgot to check my sound on the video capture. The actual sound was something like:

Me: "No, storm's headed this way."

I immediately get sucked into it.
Brian, thinking I ran into it on purpose: "Well don't..."

Brian gets sucked in: "Wheeee!"

Brian swims away.

Things went from bad to not so bad to really bad to dead all in matter of seconds.

Somebody shot Brian and it wasn't me?

I think Dave is the only one who hasn't downed me at this point.

Yeah, but how many of them have just randomly executed you? Possibly in round 3 of 5. Possibly on an aircraft.

Finka and Lion are now available for unlock (Rainbow 6 Siege - Operation Chimera).
I've unlocked both and so far I really like Lion.

Blackhawk and I were screwing around a bit in GTA 5 yesterday and while we are not quite Butch and Sundance and the LS Police aren't exactly the Bolivian Army, we had a heck of a stand-off.

Naturally, it ended exactly as you think it would.

That's the nice thing about his game. There is so much content that you can just do whatever you're in the mood for. Some days you run elaborate bank heists. Some days you race. Some days you sight see. Some days you get into gun battles. Some days you go to the amusement park and go on rides. Some days you play golf or tennis. Some days you just drive absurdly fast and get into a war with the cops on top of a sunken attack chopper.

And some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.*


*or you do get rid of a bomb, forget how to set it off, then accidentally set it off five minutes later when you're standing right on top of it.

I would have to get the game but those videos are exactly what I love about GTA and doing it with others would make it twice as fun.

Game is still $60 bucks though and it never really seems to get a significant discount.

I can't speak for everybody in our bi-weekly group but I personally have been having a blast.
We've only barely started running the heists but it's the screwing around at the beginning and ends of the sessions that tend to be the most fun/funny.

Do you play through steam? This is making me do everything through R* social club.

EDIT: I may have spoken too soon...got a few GB d/l and then says 'connection to d/l server lost...reconnecting' over and over and then fail.

Quick search on the web shows this happens to others with the possible fix is to use a VPN to d/l ....uhh what?

I know what a VPN is but why in the world would I need that?

Has anyone else had this happen?

Even if you get this on Steam you still have to setup the Rockstar Social Club account. I will PM you all of our Rockstar ID's so you can add us as friends.

Oh no! I can't help right now since I'm not at home/on my PC right now but will see if I can help out once I get home.

That sounds like a pile of gibberish.

Where are you downloading it from?

I've never heard of a downloading tool that can't handle a wonky connection, or can't restart after a full interruption (i.e. turned off your computer and turned it back on the next day).

The more I think about it, the more I'm sure the tech support guy is full of it.

I have a wired connection but honestly I'm not sure it's worth $25 to me to get that circus done.

EDIT: Also, Brian don't feel bad, that was never my intent with any of these posts. I knew the risks--I'm just a little blown away that a game that sold 75 million copies would have some glaring problem like this.

The obvious answer is that it doesn't and the tech support was full of crap.
