While that is true - it does get a whole bunch of other 'porn star' related evidence out into the public salad bar for people to pick at. Additionally, I can also enjoy the idea that this will put additional pressure on Melania to feel like a complete human failure for partnering with someone like Donald Trump (if she's capable of that reflection).
It's also Trump's propaganda in a way. It was just a porn star hush payment distracts from the whole fraud and falsifying business records aspect. It's just a little 'light white collar crime'. Also we don't know all the details yet.
Correct. For all we know it's a misdemeanor. From the WaPo article:
Bragg and his investigative team were probing whether Trump falsified business records connected to the payments in a way that could constitute a campaign-finance violation.
PS "Melania"? Isn't that the Elden Ring character? A) Nope - but close... ;)

I would disagree with calling it a "nothingburger". Now I will agree that: (1) on the scale of Trump's apparent crimes, this is relatively low; and (2) it's not the central thing that we should be having a trial of Trump over (e.g., the attempted overthrow of the government).

HOWEVER, the Trump campaign directing hush money payments to a porn star a few months before the election isn't what I would consider a nothingburger.

It's (hopefully) what tax evasion was for Al Capone's criminal empire.

The big thing is that a specific former President who has announced his candidacy for the next election will be arrested, fingerprinted, mugshat, and charged. It's no longer unprecedented. And that may bring the other prosecutors out of their hidey-holes.

Shrug. It is what it is, and Trump Bad was never going to move that particular needle. Nor is whatever the Democrats are doing (which seems to be thoughts and prayers - I'm not really sure.)

The only thing, I think, that will solve the problem will be something new. Something bad (like a major catastrophe) or something good (like center half of each part splitting from the fringes and combining into a less loony party.)

Those are all associated with his Presidency. There may be some others related to his civilian life as well.

I really want to pile on Trump for the documents. I know with him he was going to sell them. But Joe has so many and probably more all over the damn place I dont feel I have the right to brag. But with Joe Im thinking its just he forgot or didn't think it was important...I hope. It must have been embarrassing for Joe when he condemned Trump then they found all his. Ugh.

I assume Trump won't be detained, but could a judge forbid him from talking about the case, and if so, how likely is it Trump wouldn't be able to comply and get himself in more trouble.

I also assume a defense tactic is going to be that Trump can't get a fair trial anywhere. How far could they get with that?

I personally have evidence JFK was killed by a young Ron Howard who had been trained by the Deep State as an assassin after they realized that the perfect weapon would be Opie Griffith. I also know for a fact that Trump was secretly replaced by two monkeys in a trench coat a few years ago. But the Deeper Monkey State has kept it hidden. Finally, I’m also in possession of the deed for a bridge in England that bears the name of its capital city. I’ve been looking for a rube well educated man such as yourself to sell it to. I’ll send you my info.
He won. Period.

Deep fake, don't moisten your boxers just yet.
So let me get this straight. You still support a Florida Man who tried everything he could to overthrow democracy in the United States. Do you wish he had succeeded?
You're gonna believe what you believe and I'm gonna believe what I believe and nothing will change either of us. I believe the election was already stolen by good ol' Bunker Joe prior to any acts by President Trump. I believed it before President Trump ever said a word about it. I believe the powers that be were so scared of President Trump winning that a virus "accidentally" escaped from a lab, and when that didn't look like enough to take him down a crooked vote had to happen too. Then the deep state had to finish the job by backing up the phony election because they were scared of Trump too. Just like I believe what happened to JFK was fishy too.
I always thought it was Bill Mumy.

Bill Mumy, by that point, had lost the ability to wish people into distant cornfields. The best he could do was wish people 3 to 5 inches from the spot where they currently stood. The DEEP STATE decided that that was only good for irritating targets.
He won. Period.

I recently read THE BOYS, which is a memoir by Ron and Clint Howard. There's nothing at all in there that indicates Ron Howard had anything to do with the JFK assassination.

Which shows just how good the Deep State is at covering their tracks. :ninja:

I think you mean Baylok. Agent of the First Federation deep state and known for hitting the Tranya a little too much at parties.
Black lives matter!

Now that this thread has been completely derailed, here's a pic of me (left) and Clint Howard. I actually got to meet him this past weekend at NJ Horror Con. SUPER nice guy! He did not offer me tranya, but he did compliment me on my shirt.
