I'm guessing it's probably the larger randomly spawned monster stacks you guys didn't like from AoW3?

There are still monster spawners that send out stacks, but at normal difficulty I haven't seen any particularly powerful ones yet, although they may ramp up as the game goes on.

Honestly, it's been a while. I do remember trying the campaign several times, and every time there'd be this... tank type thing, I think, that would show up and just rampage across my entire map. I couldn't even touch it with multiple reloads and my best troops. When it appeared, the game was effectively over, and it wasn't too far in.

I'm in for an asynchronous game. Just started my first skirmish, so I'm still learning. I like it so far.

I've had it for a year now and haven't played much. I think it looks like a good game but my tastes have changed since I got it.
