What's to show? They march north, then they march south again.

:P

It should be like a travel map from the Indiana Jones movies. Showing a map and dotted lines behind a plane it as it travels the globe.

Yeah, but you want everything to be more like Indiana Jones movies.

And like the Indiana Jones movies we have Germans as the bad guys! Except for General von Steuben.

I looked but couldn't see Mel Gibson's route.
Nor Francis Marion.

Oddly enough though, I found Pee Wee Herman's route to the Alamo.

This is fascinating!

Both sides of my family spend a couple of generations or more in early Tennessee. In just a few minutes I found three relatives whose paths and dates in the website lineup with the family Bibles and other records I have in my files: Isaac Holman, William West, and Ambrose Gaines.

There might be others, but I would have to dig deeper. (My mother had a cousin who was obsessed with genealogy even into the internet age, and he collected and checked a huge number of family records. When he died I made sure to get copies of everything.)

Cool. I'm pretty certain my father's family spent time in Tennessee and the one Owens in the list ended up there.

I have an ancestor (Thomas Nelson, Jr.) who signed the Declaration of Independence and he's not on the list.
Of course I think he was pretty fat so maybe he never moved.
