Might be better to start a new thread in R&P to discuss this topic and leave this one to focus more on the show.
Just wait until season 3, when Mando follows Bo Katan to Mandalore, and is persistently asked about Katan's space tweets talking about how unfairly her supporters are being treated and how it's just like what happened to Alderaan.

Bravo, sir; bravo.

Also, I wouldn't say we'd prefer to discuss Carano's poor acting.

I'm more worried about that caravan of Jawas that are heading to Coruscant right now. They're scheduled to arrive within the next week. I heard it's full of salvagers and criminals!

Edit: I just saw the request to take this to R&P. I was in the middle of this when that was posted. This is a long post and IMO doesn't merit a new thread. Please feel free to move it/delete it if this is a problem.

As malchior has indicated he is OK with deletion and AB has also requested deletion, I'm removing the content of this post (although I'm leaving malchior's edit above). Both are aware that they are free to reengage in the discussion in R&P, although it doesn't sound like either is interested in doing so. -ImLawBoy

Are they lousy with space herpes? Wait. Is that a different franchise? I can't keep 80s space swashbucklers straight anymore.

That does bring up something that I've always wondered about. You find Jawas on different planets in the Star Wars universe, which means they're space faring. Has anyone ever seen a Jawa piloting a star craft? Do they use phone books to reach the steering wheel?

I think the canon explanation is that the Emperor broke the garbage handling unions and spread the jawas out to every planet as scabs with hilarious ship disassembling plot consequences.

I wonder if there's a "Tony Soprano" Jawa out there who's in charge of "Waste Management" on Tatooine?

"I see you got a nice little cantina here, pal. Hate to see something 'happen to it', if you catch my drift. Paulie No Robes here may be able to help you out with any 'arrangement' you might want to come to."

Or, in Jawaese: "Yukusu kenza keena"

I ordered this way back when you posted it.... it finally arrived. (actually got here a week or so ago, but I failed to report it) :horse:

:csmile:

I've not opened it, but I've heard it's gotten pretty weak reviews. I really just want it hung up in the basement... (still not likely really worth it).

You Mando watchers are in for a treat.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Adds Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd
The Hollywood Reporter announced Lloyd will be joining the cast of The Mandalorian season 3, which is currently filming in California. No details yet for Lloyd’s character, but THR says it will be a guest star role as opposed to becoming a series regular.
I bet it will be fun no matter what.

It all comes down to Grogu entertaining himself by using the force to spin a chair he’s sitting in.

And I’m not even a fan of cutesy characters who take over shows.

If I ever get a castle, you can be damn sure one of the first purchases I’m making is a La-Z-Boy. Who the hell just spends their entire time in a castle sitting on a giant stone throne? That seems wildly impractical. And I’m betting she has a lot of back problems to boot.

You show up at my mountain fortress, my slave/bot is ushering you in to find me at about a 70 degree recline with a remote in one hand and a po-boy in the other. I wouldn’t be moping around while my coccyx is getting traumatized by granite seating.

Oh, and we’re back to showing us that Star Wars has a slavery issue. Replace every droid you see with a Dickensian street urchin and see if it’s still cute or funny the way they’re treated. In Star Trek, if a robot pleads with you not to endanger it, it turns into an entire episode set in a court room and ends with robots getting a constitution and an invitation to join Starfleet. In Star Wars it ends with a light snack and the droid being pushed off a cliff.

On an more serious note, I have to wonder if Grogu was intended to be a costar in this show. Or if the writers felt trapped after his popularity took off.

Slavery and uncomfortable furniture aside, I enjoyed this latest episode. I have a soft spot for Morlocks, what can I say.

I have enjoyed the Mandalorian, but these last 2 episodes have been pretty meh to me. I didn't like that...
Spoiler:
They reduced what I thought might/should have been a season-long arc into a 45 minute episode, and simply brushed aside what they seemingly established in episode 1...

I need to rebuild IG-11, do you have the parts I need?
No, but just take this old astromech instead, same thing.
OK.

Now astromech I need you to survey and navigate the deadly, scarred surface of Mandalore to figure out if I can even survive its hellish environment.
Beep bo beep boo [It's fine]
OK.
(Bo Katan or literally anyone else hasn't stopped by to check now and then? She's right next door??)

Now we must find the living waters, deep within the Mines of Mandalore!
OK, they're here, I'll even give you the guided tour.

It has a lot holes, that is true.
Spoiler:
But seeing a giant Mythosaur was cool.

Also, who the hell came up with the name “mythosaur”? Were they punished for it?

My first thought as well LOL. ‘What, she just sits on her stone chair moping and staring into space all day, with nary a book or an iPhone?’

I really enjoyed the 2nd episode. Much better than the first for me. I am assuming the fact that Mandalore isn't as hazardous as believed is going to be a plot point for the season. Interesting that Bo Katan used the darksaber twice without seeming interested in taking it from Mando. It certainly didn't seem to weigh as much for her as it does for Mando. Interested to see where they go with that...
