I can't wait for the Monday morning Whine fest/excuses for the Cowboys getting boat raced. Truth is they got fat on the NFC East and struggled against everybody else.

They went 4-2 against non-div conference opponents and had the best conference record in the NFL.

To be beaten very badly at something, especially in such a fashion that you were behind from the start and never had a chance. Comes from the Boat Race, an annual rowing competition between Oxford and Cambridge, in which the first side to get ahead can move to the middle of the river (where the current is fastest) and is almost never overtaken thereafter.

Also, Cowboys probably aren’t gonna get boat raced.
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

It's amusing to this jaded Giant's fan to see so many Cowboy's fans crying and whining about the ref as if running the ball up the center of field with seconds left wasn't the root problem with the sequence.

And even a successful spike with 1 second left would only give them one hail mary with about 1% chance of scoring a TD.

Signed the 2015 Detroit Lions, wherein if Lions would have done just a whole lot of things a bit better the refs couldn't have taken the game from them.

I would disagree that Dallas got boat raced by the 49ers. Dallas didn't exactly play well but that wasn't a blowout by any means, and they could have had a chance to win outside of Dak's mind fart on the last drive.

A play 25 yards from the end zone isn't a Hail Mary.

Would be interesting to know if the chances of getting a TD with one play from the 24 is higher than the chance of getting a TD with two plays from the 41.

It depends. The key is that nothing but a touchdown is defeat. The 49ers can have eight men drop back to the goal line. And I agree the game started as a boat race but didn't finish that way.

Us Packers fans had to suffer through years of Mike McCarthy's ineptitude. I'm glad that another fanbase has now had cause to scream at the TV in frustration.

Yes but... The Cowboys were only in that game because of Niner screw ups. The Niners dominated that game and it should have been over far earlier.

Heck, even when the Niners were running out the clock, the refs gave Dallas an extra 8 seconds. Nevermind the atrocious pick, losing Bosa and Warner, not going for two on the last td, the stupid penalty on the qb sneak to win the game, etc.

The Cowboys were in that game because the 49ers are what they are. It’s weird to say that the Cowboys were only in it because of our team’s deficiencies!!

In a weekend with dominating performances, we are offended that you would label the 49ers performance as dominating. :)

The 49ers beat a team that was even more determined to fuck their season up. That said, Deebo is a friggin’ problem. Very fun to watch.

For the Moon Knight promo tease, Steve Levy keeps pronouncing “Marvel” as “Mar-VEL”. It bugs me.

Yes, this game is boring. Why do you ask?

Assuming the Rams don't melt down, they avoid Lambeau Field for the next round. It sets up a possible dream scenario if they can get past Trampa Bay and the 49ers upset GB: Rams at home for the NFC Championship AND the Super Bowl.

Not going to knock the LA Staffords. He did what he needed to do, what was expected of him, and that's more then I'm used to, but wow, were LA handed that game by Arizona.

Sad for the local pick in 2022 thread. For the sake of eventually wanting to watch home games again in my lifetime, his failure would have been my selfish gain. I mean how to you not root for him against the Tampa Brady Gronk's? Further degrading the 2022 draft.

Forecast is that without Bosa and Warner, the Niners won't be able to stop Rodgers. They might not even with them. Jimmy G has shown he can win shootouts, but this game is mostly about what, if anything, the Niners D can do to limit the Packers offense.

It''s going to come down to the Cornerbacks being able to keep the WR's in check, or the front line pressuring Rodgers like they did 2 years ago. One has to happen. If they can't the niners are toast.
