Meh. Wake me up if/when they roll out a version of the old Commodore 64 frenzied-cyborg Hawkeye instead:

BTW, for a game that came out more than thirty years ago, it still blows me away just how impressive its SID music sounds even nowadays:

This looks incredibly fun. Love the Easter egg of the “Rogers” musical. Very much looking forward to this.

I think they are really playing to Jeremy Renner's strengths, one of which is he is a funny bastard. He was criminally underutilized in the first Avengers, only slightly less so in Ultron. He is also a damn fine actor. Looking forward to this one.

Renner would make a good James Bond from what I saw in the trailer.

Hawkeye Pierce was quite a superhero in the 70's and early 80's. And the actor more so since.

Hawkeye is easily my least-favorite hero from the current list of options, and yet I completely enjoyed the hell out of the first two episodes. I think it was a mix of grumpy/tired Clint getting pulled back into the mix and the actress playing Kate Bishop - she's a perfect foil for his curmudgeonly presence.

Also if you didn't chuckle at the musical, then I don't even know what to say. But the ending to Ep2 was legit funny.

I also didn't know who the character was at the end of Ep2 and let me say:
Spoiler:
If they somehow tie this to Netflix's Daredevil, that would be unreal.
EDIT: I forgot to add, it also stars Tony Dalton's mustache. He's awesome in Better Call Saul, and I'm kinda curious to see what they're going to do with him here because he's equally as creepy.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

I liked it too. I also like Hailee Steinfeld in pretty much everything so I'm on board with the ninja girl. (If anyone has still not seen the Cohen brothers version of True Grit, go watch that right now).

I was pleasantly surprised at the humor. Renner does a great job as the cranky guy.

As for

D'Onofrio showing up, I would love that. He made that role his own on Daredevil.

I love Jeremy Renner but am pretty Marvelled out beyond Loki. So I was surprised to really enjoy episode one. It's tightly plotted and beautifully shot.
Spoiler:
I knew little about it going in and figured it would be about him training his daughter. I'm pleased to see it's more than a family story. I had forgotten all about Ronin. The PTSD-type storyline in episode one may have been done in the MCU (and with the character) already, but it's logically consistent and well done. The Christmas in New York theming is fantastic.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

I have a real soft spot for archer superheroes. Yes, they make no sense in the world of super-powered demi-gods, but I still love them. Green Arrow, Hawkey, Yondu...hell, my first Champion's character was an archer. So I am all on board for this show. Loved the first two episodes...but Clint sure as hell better make it home for Christmas!

Also I don't think it's a spoiler but I loved the action sequence in episode 3, it was just so much fun.

RE: Episode 3, if my spoiler from above isn't accurate (the person they're CLEARLY teasing), I will be sad.

I'm still trying to process the car chase scene and how they filmed that. That would have been amazing to see in a movie 10 years ago but it's just part of a TV series now.

Regarding your spoiler and more:
Spoiler:
There's been a really strong rumor that Charlie Cox is playing Matt Murdock is in the new Spider-Man movie coming out tomorrow. It seemed like a long shot until the reveal last night. I'm not sure about the other characters, but last night's reveal suggests to me anything is now possible.

I might have squealed at the end of last nights episode.

I can’t believe there’s only one episode left to wrap this up. I’m not expecting it, but I wouldn’t be surprised to get a surprise announcement of a 2nd season.

Comic book Yondu (where I first met him) was an archer. Like with a bow and everything.

Yup, Yondu was originally very much a pure archer character. Your knowledge of classic Guardians makes this old comic book nerd’s heart swell. Next you’ll be bringing up Charlie 27.

And I know you’ll be there on day one like me for some Adam Warlock action when the next GotG movie comes out.
