Is he a bad guy here? Or a hero?

Re: [HBOMAX] Peacemaker
He was in the (suprisingly great) Suicide Squad and was definitely a baddie among baddies. Presumably will be a baddie or tweener on this.

Re: [HBOMAX] Peacemaker
Cena's earnestness is what sells the character. He plays him without a shred of irony. He really surprised me in Suicide Squad as I expected to hate Peacemaker.

I'd really like for HBO to get Suicide Squad back. Maybe it'll be a cheap rental on Amazon over the holidays, but I'm definitely down to watch this at some point.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

It'll be back within the next couple of months. All of their big movies come back when the Dvd releases.

It just looks better and better with each new trailer. I especially like the inclusion of Vigilante as a dorky friend.

Peacemaker's whole bag is that he thinks he's the hero.
And yeah, this is looking hella* fun.

Marvel does not have a monopoly on end-credits scenes.
Sims 3 and signature unclear.

Just watched episode 1. It's good! And has quite possibly the best opening credits dance routine that I have ever seen.
Edit: If you need further convincing, episode 2 features a song by Firehouse:

Re: [HBOMAX] Peacemaker
This show is more entertaining than anything Marvel has run on Disney….and I liked the things Marvel has run on Disney. It’s also surprisingly politically incorrect. I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t generate some backlash.
But the opening scene argument alone with Jamil about his perceived racist tendencies had me in stitches.
Edit: episode two’s Louis C.K. discussion with Vigilante was even funnier. Cena really has found his niche. He’s so damn good at comedy.

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I actively enjoyed the opening credits for a TV show this much. Everything about Peacemaker is just so good.

Re: [HBOMAX] Peacemaker
One of the very few "country" TV show songs I liked. I have no idea why. It's just a quality written song, musically, and performed well, no matter the genre.
After some brief research:
Canadian composer I'd never heard of
LeeAnn Womack performs (there we go...she's got quality pipes, though again, I am not a country music fan, ESPECIALLY almost all 'modern country" music. Willie Nelson is a god, however.)

Re: [HBOMAX] Peacemaker
This show has been great. I thought it looked pretty dumb from the trailers but I've enjoyed every minute of it so far. The writing is wonderful. Peacemaker is handled really well. I love the characters. Love the music. Love the comedy. It has a similar feel to GotG but with a more R rating. I was really close to cancelling HBO for a while but I'm glad I didn't.
That sound of the spoon scraping over the can ribbing as you corral the last ravioli or two is the signal that a great treat is coming. It's the washboard solo in God's own

Yeah, I finished The Suicide Squad last night and immediately watched the first episode. He's really good as the character - it feels like he genuinely believes his own insanity.

I watched all 3 episodes back to back and I really loved them. It reminds me a lot of the Evil Dead Tv series. So over the top that it works. And yeah Cena is perfect in the role.

I immediately thought of you when they dropped that reference. Sure sounds canon in that universe! At a minimum greatly increases the odds that we see him in the DCEU in some form.
